I was thinking about watching this show, as I've seen Sebstian Roché (Papa Mikaelson) post about it on instagram. I'd hoped he'd stick around a little longer but I guess he's dead. I was kind of impressed by his German. His pronounciation was pretty good in comparison to so many other definitely non-German actors in movies and shows who play a German but completely butcher the pronounciation. So kudos to him. I liked the vibe of this episode but I thought the ending was a bit meh. Especially as they kind of introduced Papa Mikaelson (can't remember his name) as this charachter who seems to know a lot about all of that stuff and who had the candles ready as protection but then he just got eaten by that thing straight away. That was a bit underwhelming to be honest. But I'll probably give the show another shot as I really liked your commentary. It made everything sooo much better. Without you reacting to it I would probably not keep watching the show, lol. :D
