Ugh. Again. I don't know how I feel. I think Zoe is right in thinking that both she and George are not ready to get into a relationship right now, but I want them to! It's so annoying. And as much as I am loathe to admit it, there were a few instances his episode where I actually felt for Lemon.
So Zoe wakes up in bed with Wade, but George calls her. She rushes over to Lavon to get his take on what to do. However, he does not give Zoe the advice she'd hoped for and desperately wishes for a girlfriend (even though, I think his advice was just fine). When she gets back to the kitchen, George shows up and he goes to kiss her, but she pulls away. She explains that she just needs some time to think as everything is happening so fast.
But that cover is immediately blown when Wade shows up. And George is not stupid. He can read between the lines and understands that that they had sex the night before. She tells him she thought he was getting married to Lemon and she needed to take her mind off the wedding (which is what I told her to do, so good job). He tells her he hopes she makes up her mind between the two of them soon and leaves.
The whole town is upset with her as she thinks she's a home wrecker who destroyed BB and George's life. While at work, she meets a new girl who used to live in BlueBell and is only back for a short time (spoiler alert: not true) and they become fast friends. George than shows up at the office and basically begs Zoe for them to be together. While she's considering, Brick walks in on them and starts berating Zoe for breaking up the wedding. George tells her he knows it's gonna be hard, but they can face this together.
When she tries to talk to Wade about it, he tells her she thinks they had a connection because their sex was so good (although, he rates himself an A and Zoe only a B-, which pisses her off). She insists there was a connection, but he's denying.
Eventually, she meets back up with George and tells him they can't be in relationship right now (😢). He just got out of 15 years of being with Lemon, half his life. And she can't be his rebound. She suggests they date and eventually, hopefully, they'll end up together. Right now, she's choosing neither George or Wade. (Not that that stops her from falling back into bed with Wade though).
Meanwhile, Lemon has decided to be a strong, independent woman, but realizes she has no idea how. When she goes to rent an apartment, they tell her she has no income and no credit score. She looks for a job, but she has no skills.
Deciding the best course of action right now is to return her wedding presents, she wanders dazed through town with a cake knife. Several people see her and are concerned. When she goes to Zoe's, George gets worried and calls the cop. Before long, most of the town is outside the house, convinced that Lemon has taken Zoe hostage. But, she's just having a panic attack and didn't want to be dependent on her father. Zoe manages to calm her down and they have a little bit of a moment (where Lemon makes sure Zoe knows she still hates her).
Finally, she's lamenting about this at the Rammer Jammer, and Wade offers her a job as a waitress. I'm very curious to see how that goes.
