I hope they give Elijah has own show. I've been saying for sometime how Klaus is just magnetic and engaging to watch (and that's still true), but there is something about Elijah. I'm not sure what it is, but I'd watch him do pretty much anything.
So Elijah and Klaus confront Marcel (during his fight club where vampires can try to earn a daylight ring) about him kidnapping Hayley. He insists he didn't do it. And to prove it, he grabs a witch and allows her to do a locator spell for them to find Hayley.
While they are working on it, we see that Hayley has indeed been kidnapped. And her perpetrator? Tyler. So did not see that coming, but I feel like I probably should have. We know he left Mystic Falls to kill Klaus (although I have no idea how he planned to do it). I figured he was using Hayley to lure him out. But turns out, that's not what's going on here.
Apparently, Tyler has heard some chatter in his travels that Klaus intends to use the blood of their baby to make more hybrids. To prove his point, he's brought along a werewolf. (Also it drives me crazy the way Hayley says 'wolf.' I know this isn't her native accent and a lot of people pronounce it as 'woof,' but it still irks me. Lol.) He extracts some blood from her belly and jabs it into the werewolf. He then, kills him and they both watch him turn into a hybrid. I think his transition was much easier than prior hybrid transitions, but I think I'm just being nitpicky here.
Anyway, this convinces Hayley that Klaus is really only keeping her alive so he can use the baby to make more hybrids. However, Hayley is still zip tied to a stove. When the new hybrid comes back in, Hayley tells him that Tyler is trying to kill her causing the new hybrid to attack Tyler. Turns out these hybrids are loyal to Hayley (and/or the bay). During the fight, she manages to get away. While she running in the woods, she finds Elijah and explains the situation.
Back at the cabin, Elijah confronts Klaus about what they now know. Personally, I don't think Klaus even thought about this. It seemed very much like he had a moment of revelation when Elijah told him about the hybrids. I don't think he realized before, but he knows now. Either way, he and Elijah get into a fight about loyalty and how Klaus will always be framed as the villain (Because you put yourself in that role, bro. I love Klaus, but he's totally- at least at this point, the worst of the siblings). Eventually, Klaus bites him and takes off. Thankfully, it seems like a hybrid bite is more of an annoyance to an Original than anything else. (But I have no idea how they would know that).
Tyler, who has ripped out the new hybrid's heart, starts searching for Hayley and runs into Klaus. They plan to fight to the death (which, again, is stupid because Tyler can't kill him). Either way in no surprise to anyone, Klaus wins. But when Tyler begs him to kill him, he refuses claiming he'll be tortured everyday knowing he only lives because Klaus allows it.
After the fight with Elijah, Klaus decides that Rebekah is now going to be helping him. He knows that Marcel still loves her and plans to use that to his advantage. Rebekah, honey, just leave. You're miserable here, and you cannot seem to break free from whatever hold family bond you think you need to have with Klaus. It's unhealthy. But for whatever reason, it seems like she's going to agree to this.
Oh, and at the end of the episode, we see Tyler spilling the tea to Marcel. So he now knows that Hayley is pregnant with Klaus's baby. That's going to be an issue. I feel like we need to hide Hayley in an underground bunker or something. So many people want this baby dead.
