I really enjoyed this episode. But I feel like I've been saying that a lot lately. I'm not 100% sure what Stan is trying to do here. He wants to get access to the professor who is in Russia?
So it seems like we're back to Elizabeth being concerned that Clark is enjoying America too much. He's come home with a new sport's car singing along with Henry to American rock n roll. She says it's fine if he's happy. But he presses her to admit that she likes all the trappings that this life brings them as well. And while she admits it's easier here, it's not better.
Martha tells Clark that the longer she stays at the office, the less comfortable she is spying on her co-workers. He tries to talk to her about it, but she seems resistant to having a conversation about it. So, he decides to doctor some audio in which her co-workers call her ugly. He figures if he plays it for her, she'll be happy to continue spying on them. But when he shows up to talk to her about it, she's so pleased that he's there, she apologizes for their fight about it and agrees to continue.
Lucia has decided to take matters into her own hands. She showed up at Larrick's and hit him with a tranq gun. Before he goes down though, he manages to shoot her with the gun as well. He comes to before she does and he calls Elizabeth over to deal with it. He's got Lucia tied up to a chair. He tells Elizabeth he wants out of this arrangement with the KGB. He'll let Lucia live, if she gives him his freedom. She tells him he still has to get them onto the base, but if he can do that, she'll go along with the deal.
But, when he unties Lucia, she grabs a corkscrew and attacks with him with it. Elizabeth pulls a gun on them, while he's got Lucia in a headlock. Lucia tells her to shoot him. He tells Elizabeth if she kills him they'll never get onto the base. So Elizabeth just watches silently as he strangles her to death.
While this is happening, Philip is meeting with Kate (she'll be dead soon since I learned her name) who tells him that the plans they stole from the American's (the propellor ones) were planted by the Americans who wanted them to steal a bad design. When they used them, it destroyed the submarine they Russian navy was on and they lost 160 men. But, even after this, they still want them to steal information on the stealth planes the Americans are working on.
Philip and Elizabeth decide that the best way into the camp is through the septic system, so they kidnap a driver of one of the trucks. They question him about the camp, but he's petrified and they aren't getting anywhere. Eventually, Philip manages to talk to him calmly enough to get some information out of him (especially after he promises he'll be fine if he just talks). After they get the info, Elizabeth goes to shoot him, but Philip convinces her they can let him live. Not sure what this is about. Is he getting soft? Is he trying to prove something to Elizabeth?
And Henry finally gets caught hanging out in the neighbors house playing video games. They don't seem that upset, but Henry certainly does. He's just sobbing and wailing about his parents know he's a good person. What is up with that? It was almost hard to watch.
