I really hated that Zoe is beating herself up over this. It made zero sense to me. She's a doctor. She knows she cannot control someone else's appendix. However, when she explained later that she was upset because it was difficult when you care about your patients because you have to see them everyday, it made much more sense. And I 100% think BlueBell is making her a better person.

So Rose ends up in the hospital with complications from her appendicitis. However, Zoe cannot get any information about her and her mom doesn't want her anywhere near the hospital. Thankfully, Brick is kind enough to keep her in the loop, but she is devastated at what's going on. She has no one she can talk to so she ends up calling her dad.

She's shocked when he actually shows up in town. She explains that she overreacted and it's not a big deal. But she's having a hard time dealing with being a GP because she wants to be detached to her patients, like a surgeon would be. But, in order to be a good GP, you have to be all up in everyone's business, and it keeps coming back to bite her in the ass.

He tells her that Boston Memorial (?) has offered him a job and he took in on the stipulation that they offer Zoe an internship. I was 100% sure she was going to say no (earlier a doctor at the hospital called her out for getting special privileges), but she's so miserable right now that she agrees.

Lavon walks in on her when she's packing to leave. He's upset that she was just going to bail in the middle of the night and not say good bye. But she thinks everyone hates her, so what's the point. Lavon tells her they had a fight, they didn't break up. She ends up promising to say goodbye to everyone in the morning, but instead, she heads to the airport with her dad shortly after that.

However, when their flight is delayed, Zoe realizes what is going on with AnnaBeth's issue. She tells her dad she'll be right back and meets up with AnnaBeth telling her she knows her husband has left her. She encourages her to tell her friends. After all, isn't that why people live in a small town? Brick overhears this and tells Zoe he's actually becoming a really good GP and it would be a shame for her to leave now. She goes back to the airport and tells her dad she's going to stay. He tells her it's career suicide, but as her dad, he's really proud of her.

Meanwhile, George and Lemon are still planning on getting married as planned. However, they haven't had sex since the fight and rather than try, they decide to wait for the wedding night. Then Lemon decides that what she really needs to do is plan a romantic evening for them and just push through. She tells him they are both just scared and they just need to do it. But, in order for that to happen, they have to get drunk first. And then Lemon gets her head stuck in slats of the bed. Typical.

Oh, and Lavon set Wade up with a meeting at the bank about getting a loan for the bar he wants to open. But, he blew it with the bank employee before the meeting even took place. And when he told Lavon he'd never have gotten the loan anyway, Lavon told him he was planning to vouch for him and co-sign the loan. Risky business Lavon. Probably best it didn't work out. Lol.

And we end with Zoe finally getting to visit Rose in the hospital. She hops up into bed with her ready to hear all the little teeny bopper gossip. I really love this big sister thing she's got going on with her.
