The Originals 1X6: Fruit of the Poisoned Tree

OMG. I want to watch the scene of Elijah ripping everyone's heart out and then walking with them outstretched in his hands across the church on repeat for the rest of my life.

Klaus has decided to try to apologize to Elijah for daggering him by giving him a human to eat. Elijah is not interested in it, so Klaus eats her and then the two of them just leave the dead body on the table, with blood dripping all over the floor. Rebekah wanders over and takes it upon herself to clean up their mess. I would never. Rebekah. Why are you doing this? Let Klaus clean up his own shit.

Sophie ends up getting kidnapped by some elder witch who wants Hayley's baby dead. But since she's under The Originals protection (and she can't actually do magic), Sophie gets injected with some sort of cursed object that will make her (and Hayley's) blood boil and will kill the baby. I don't really understand the ins and outs, but all we really need to know is, if we don't do something soon, the baby will die.

Elijah (I think) saves Sophie and they head back to the plantation. Rebekah heads out to get the herbs Sophie requested for a drink of some kind for Hayley. However, she's still burning up. They toss her in the pool to try to calm her down. She and Elijah have definitely got some flirting/intimacy going on here (which I noticed before, but it's impossible to ignore in this scene).

While this is happening, Davina is upstairs working on a spell that will unlink Hayley and Sophie (although, I don't think Davina knows that). She's tried several times but to no avail. Finally, for no reason I can tell, she manages to make it work. Down in the pool, Sophie knows immediately that they are unlinked. Hayley starts to relax and things look like they are okay for her.

However, Sophie begs Elijah not to let Klaus kill the elder witch. He gives his word that he won't let Klaus kill her. And he keeps it. At this point, Elijah, Klaus, and the priest all want this elder witch dead. And the only one who can't kill her is Klaus. Which, he's just about to do when Elijah enters the church and stops him, claiming he gave his word. Klaus pouts about Elijah spoiling all the fun. He says, 'Not all of it,' and zooms around the church ripping everyone's heart out. Then he walks up to elder witch and is all, 'Klaus can't kill you, but I can,' and snaps her neck. Good lord, I love this Elijah.

Elsewhere, Marcel has finally figured out that Klaus has been lying to him (and compels some of his guys) and has no idea who to trust. He ends up digging out Thierry to get some info out of him. After he and Rebekah have sex (she's running around doing a goodbye tour, poor girl thinks she's actually going to get to leave), he realizes that they are staying at the plantation.

So, he wanders on over and Hayley answers the door. Then we find Elijah coming home to an empty house. he can't find Hayley so he calls Rebekah (who's left and is on the road) and she claims she's not with her. Klaus shows up and informs him that Marcel was at the house. So this motherfucker stole her. Dude. Why are we not just outright killing Marcel and taking everything over for ourselves. We can't die. What are we afraid of?
