So, S4 continues to be great. I just really love this set up or let's get all the criminals to take down the even worse criminals.
We're on a mission to get the info from the next cardholder (after Michael's video of all the Scylla members last episode, it seems like they are allowing them to continue along). After some detective work, Mahone figures out that the cardholder is some sort of Turkish Consulate. They follow him to the embassy (is that right, or am I watching too much of The Americans? 🤣) to get close enough for the download. Things are going well until they lose the signal. They haven't moved, but the wife has. We then realize she's the cardholder, not him.
While they are on a stakeout, trying to get close to her, we realize that she's heavily guarded, meaning she's very high up in the Company. But, we also find out that Bagwell is here. Lincoln spots him from across the courtyard and he and Michael take off at an all out sprint trying to tracking him down. They catch up to him, but he isn't helpful (he tossed the bird book as they approached) and some security is coming, so they have no choice but to let him go. Grrrr.
We then find out that the cardholder is going to be at a police fundraiser. So, we steal police uniforms and tag along. Once Michael finds out where she's sitting, he sticks the device under the table. Once she approaches, they start the download, but she's pulled away and again we lose the signal.
Unfortunately, at this point, Lincoln has been made, so he heads towards the exit. But, the guy follows him. Eventually, they end up in a confrontation where he pulls a gun on Lincoln, he's about to shoot, when Bellick shows up and stabs him with a screwdriver (I think). The two of them end up killing him.
When Lincoln calls Michael to tell him what happened and that he needs to get rid of the body, Michael tells him to leave it there. Mahone sets up a scenario where Michael posing as an officer, watches over the cardholder while her security checks out the dead guy outside. While he is waiting with her, he manages to finally download the information.
Meanwhile, Sara is told about Bruce dying and she feels like she's to blame. When Michael is out pretending to be a cop, she heads to a bar and contemplates having a drink. She's been sober for over 3 years at this point. Some skeezy guy in the bar is desperate to hit on her, but when she and the bartender both tell him to get lost, he steals her credit card and uses it to buy his drinks.
The Company gets notified of the card usage and the Big Black Dude (I really have to learn this guy's name) heads over. Sara, who has decided not to drink, slips out the back while the bartender is telling BBD that she's never seen Sara (Sara has no idea this is going on BTW). He exits the bar, sees her, and starts to follow her. I'm sure she's about to get kidnapped, right? She's on the phone with Michael and they are talking about how great it is that they are together now. This show is so not going to give them that.
And Pocket Boy starts working Whistler's job at GATE. The book is full of connections, but nothing is concrete enough to make sense yet. But, I continue to be vilely disgusted every time he's on screen. Blech.
