The Americans 2X7: Arpanet

Okay, I was (and still am) very confused about the end of this episode. I really thought Nina hated Oleg. Now she's in bed with him scheming ways to get info out of Stan? Did I miss something here?

After having a conversation with Oleg and her boss, Nina agrees to take the polygraph. She's very concerned about it, but Oleg assures her that he can teach her how to beat it. They practice for a while until she feels more confident. The test goes fine and she passes. Afterwards, she tells Stan that she doesn't want him to get her out of the embassy, as she's convinced she can still him. However, in the next scene (or later, at any rate), we see that she is naked and rolling around in bed with Oleg. No idea how that happened. Everything was making so much sense up until that point. Sigh.

New Claudia tells Philip that he's got to place a bug on some super computer. He's confused (computers are pretty new at this point), but whatever the Motherland wants, right? He and Charlie (who the fuck is Charlie?) come up with a plan to steal a passcode and get into the computer room. Unfortunately for him, a student comes back to retrieve his missing wallet while Philip is waiting on information to transfer and needs to be killed. Poor kid. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Philip and Charlie head to a bar afterwards to celebrate (well Charlie is, Philip is basically just berating him for being a drunk- he swears he's sober). Philip does not seem happy that they completed this mission. I don't know if it's because he was forced to kill someone, his partner is a drunk, or he just wasn't that excited abou the mission in general. But, it's a stark contrast to how drunk Charlie is feeling.

Elizabeth, meanwhile, is tasked with meeting with Larrick. They are planning to use him to get into the base. However, he tells Elizabeth that he's being sent to Nicaragua, so he can't remain at the camp with him. But, he's still able to get them in. When Elizabeth tells Lucia about this, she's pissed because she had her own agenda to kill him as soon as he got her inside. Elizabeth explains to her that they need him, but she argues that he's killed to many of her own people. I think both she and the new Claudia are way too green for these kinds of operations. I don't trust them. I'm 100% sure they are going to do something stupid and blow our cover. Or worse.

Oh, and Henry is breaking into the neighbor's house to play the video game system that his parents told him he couldn't have. I wonder if this is going anywhere. Maybe this is his rebellion. Paige has church and he has this.
