The Fosters 3X11: First Impressions

Re-uploaded with all audio this time! 🙄

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ugh. You know this woman has ill intent. I don't know what it is yet, but I hate her for it. Maybe she's trying to capitalize on Callie's popularity with the youth? Either way, I'm afraid Callie is gonna wake up one day and Fost and Found is going to be no more now that Mariana has given her administrator access to the website.

Okay, so Callie is giving some speech about Fost and Found at a community event of some kind. Afterwards, one of the kids stops her to ask her to deal with an issue they are having with monetized foster homes. Callie is sort of floundering for a response when a woman comes up and drags her away. She claims she's like to invest 50k in Callie.

Later, she comes to the house to discuss with Callie and the moms. Everyone seems pretty taken with her (well, not me), but Callie brings up some things she could use help with. The woman assures Callie she knows about all the issues, but they should look at the bigger picture right now. Callie talks about the kids in the monetized home and she says she'll look into it. When she leaves the house she calls someone and inquires about his placement.

This kid later ends up becoming friends with Jude and asks Callie is she said anything about him. Callie admits she has and he gets upset because he's been taking out of the foster home he was in and placed in a group home. Jude claims he hated the foster home, and the kid said he did, but the group home is worse. When money bags stops by later, Callie asks her about it, but she claims she never made any calls about it him. Lies. Mariana sets he up with access to the website and no one seems to notice anything is amiss about her. Grrrr.

Meanwhile, Brandon has gotten a final callback audition for Juilliard, but tuition is crazy expensive. He's going to talks to moms about it, but he overhears them talking about how strapped they are financially at this point.

We find out that Jesus is actually home because all the kids on the wrestling team were doing steroids and he didn't want to participate. He caved a couple of times, but he hated the way he felt so he stopped. But now, if he goes back they'll expect him to take them again. And he doesn't want to rat out the team, so he bailed and came home. (His grades have been really good though).

Lexi is back. And it's an immediate battle for Mariana's friendship between her and Emma. I hate this. Let's go back to giving Mariana good storylines again. Either way, she's running for junior class president (I think) and Emma is her campaign manager. Lexi can't help but insert her opinion (that she thinks Mariana should campaign on being sexy). When Mariana doesn't go for it, Lexi decides to run a campaign for herself using the same strategy.

And Mike finally gets the prints back and they match Ty. Initially, he tried to make it go away, but it was too late. Stef gets wind of this and really lets Mike have it. The other issues though, is that their grandmother just died and Mike wants to give they time to grieve before he tosses Ty in jail.

However, Ty seems to realize they are on to him and tells AJ he's bailing after the funeral. And if he doesn't come with him, he'll never see him again (hello emotional manipulation). And, even though he's made plans with Callie the following weekend, he boards a bus with Ty to Arizona after the funeral. I feel like we'll see him again. I don't think this is the last for him.

Comments

Ugh. That's annoying. I think I just cut off the beginning sound, but I'm re-uploading it now. Sigh. Sorry. Right?!? I don't know what her deal is, but I know it's not good. And Callie, who just wants to help everyone, is 100% going to get taken advantage of. Grrr. It's such a complicated issue. I understand both Mike and Stef's side in it. And I feel like I could support either one. And I don't blame AJ for leaving, but I really wish he would stick around as Mike is really trying to do the best he can.

Dana Licciardello

I agree with you, that women that want's to help Callie is really suspicious and just the fact that she got that kid removed from his foster home but lied staright to Callie's face when she asked her about it is deeply suspect. It just feels like shes has alterior motives and is not just doing this from the goodness of her heart. I feel for AJ he just lost his grandmother and feels lke he has no other choice but to go with his brother becuase he doesn't want to lose his brother aswell because that's his last remaining family.
