Hart of Dixie 1X19: Destiny & Denial

So Lemon and Zoe are both out to try to apologize to George. Lemon still thinks they are getting married though. She refuses to listen to Magnolia (who is basically the only other person who knows) that things might actually be over.

Both women show up at George's office with food; Lemon with a cake and Zoe with soup (that she just dumped out of a can). However, while they are waiting for him and sniping at each other, they see him across the square. And he's the happiest looking man you've ever met. He's singing and dancing and giving balloons to babies. As he approaches Zoe and BB, he's gracious and happy to accept their offerings, but ultimately just takes them and leaves them there dumbfounded.

The town is throwing some event or other that both Lemon an George are supposed to perform in. They are both there for rehearsal the day before, but George tells him he knows his part and doesn't need to practice. Lemon asks if he's okay and he assures her he is. He knows she's sorry. Everything is fine. But when she asks if that means they might still have the wedding, he tells her there is no chance (but he says it really cheerfully!)

Zoe bumps into him later on a motorcycle. He tells her he's compromises so much in his relationship with BB and he's ready to do all the things that make him happy. He's on his way to New Orleans, as the last time he was there, Lemon made him go to the opera and he didn't get to do what he wanted.

Once he gets down there, he calls Zoe and asks if she wants to come meet him. When she gets there, he is still happily bouncing around like a mad man. He's doing karaoke when she arrives and he's good, too. They pretend they are on their honeymoon when they run into another couple who is actually on their honeymoon. While they are dancing they kiss and when Zoe asks what happens next, they agree to get a hotel room.

However, while Zoe is booking it, the band plays his and BB's wedding song and it all finally comes crashing down on George. Zoe follows him outside and tells him that maybe it's time to go home. He agrees. Once they get back into town, they both agree that the night was magical, but it's time to get back to reality.

When George doesn't show up at the show, Lemon is convinced he's with Zoe so she heads off and beats on on her door. She bangs until her dad shows up. Magnolia finally told him what happened and Zoe confesses that she cheated on him. Back at the house, they are sulking about it when George shows up. And he's finally upset. He's yelling at BB and asking her how she could do that to them. To him.

I'm a little concerned that this is gonna end up in angry sex between the two of them. Which Lemon will think means they've gotten back together, but George will tell her meant nothing. I have no issue with this except that it'll make it much harder for them to have a clean break.
