Okay, I definitely missed something. I thought the point of hacker guys device was that we didn't need to retrieve it afterwards. But then we spend half the episode trying to get it back. I don't know what I missed there.
So, unsure of where to start, they start suggesting ideas. But Mahone than realizes they can track down Scylla through the cardholder. And he's smart enough to piece some things together and narrow it down a small list of people. Hacker guy gives him a bunch of options and they find him pretty quickly.
First order of business is to follow him and get the lay of the land. And the land is heavily guarded. They cannot fathom how they could ever get inside. (They need to be near Scylla in order for the machine to copy the data). After observing the house for a while (also there is zero chance all those guards wouldn't notice them constantly surveilling the house) they realize the maid comes and goes without any security.
Sara follows her and pretends to befriend her at the bus stop asking about her bag. While they are chatting, she drops the device inside. Once the maid takes it into the house, Michael calls pretending to be from the alarm company and has her wander around the house. When she enters the room with the card, Michael stalls her long enough for the hacker to get the info.
Then the maid leaves, but heads back inside for 15 seconds, then heads back out again. This time, Mahone waits with her at the bus stop when Bellick runs up and steals her bag. Mahone tells her he'll get it back and chases Bellick down. They rifle through the bag for the device but it's not there. (This is the part that confused me, I thought we didn't need it back). They deduce she dropped it back in the house when she went back inside.
We devise a plan to get into the house and get it. I cannot believe the plan worked, but we're just gonna go with it. Michael gets the device and brings it back to hacker guy. But, when he gets the info, they realize it is only one of six cards. So, we've got to do this five more times. Ugh.
Meanwhile, Pocket Boy is wandering through the desert with that guy whose name I forgot. It's been three days of no food for water. The friend finally attacks T Bag and plans to eat him, but he fails and T Bag eats him instead. Right after, some guys on ATVs show up and offer to give him a lift to San Diego. Using the bird book, he finds a locker which has Whistlers ID and some other documents in it.
And guy who is in everything was tasked with finding the brothers. And he's discovered that they are not in jail. He eventually heads over to Bruce and starts asking questions, but Bruce claims he has no idea where they are.
Oh, Michael has started bleeding from the nose. That can't be good news. And, no surprise to anyone, Gretchen is still alive.
