Arrow 8X10: Fadeout

We made it. 170 (I think) episodes later and Arrow is over. I'm pretty happy with this finale. I assume they knew this was the last season, so we didn't have any weird cliffhanger stuff hanging around in case it got picked up for another season. (minus whatever was going on with Dig and that box). I feel pretty content. Although, I'd love to see a Thea and Roy wedding, I'm happy with where we left them.

So, Oliver rebooting the universe means that Quintin, Moira, and Tommy are all back. Sara shows up in 2040 and brings Mia back to 2019 (I think) so she can attend Oliver's funeral. However, William is still missing. We call in everybody to help the search. But, thankfully, Mia manages to find him fairly quickly (I would be annoyed if this took the entire episode) and even though she wants to, refuses to kill his kidnapper because Oliver didn't kill him either. She does send him back to jail though.

Felicity shows back up and is nervous about whether or not she should talk to Mia. She hasn't seen her grow up yet and is looking forward to it. Later in the episode though, Mia approaches her and they have a nice moment. Felicity is surprised to find out that she's met Oliver. Surprised, but pleased.

We hold a memorial service for Oliver in which Quintin gives a lovely speech about Oliver. Afterwards, we have a more private service where Emiko meets Moira. Everyone is very cordial to each other. Thea and Roy are going to get married. Finally. This should have happened sooner. But this is a universe where we don't always have time to throw weddings.

It appears as though the only one of us staying in Star City is Rene. Both Dig and Dinah are heading to where there is more crime since they feel they can be useful there. (Although, while Dig is packing up to go a meteor falls from the sky and leaves behind some glowing box). And then we get what we've been waiting for (or at least what I've been waiting for). The Monitor brings Felicity to the afterlife to be with Oliver. They are both at rest and peaceful knowing the fate of the city is in good hands.

And that's it, you guys. Thank you so much for sponsoring this Sabrina. I would have never watched it on my own accord and I would have so been missing out. ❤️

So glad we got Felicity back for the finale. And yes they knew this was the last season. Oliver and Felicity aren't technically dead since Oliver is basically a kind of god thing now so they are more in some alternative universe/heaven-like place. They aren't dead but can't really leave there. I am still mad that Oliver "died" in all technicalities even if he is like some god thing in some other universe or whatever... but it annoys me. originally the flash was supposed to die in the crisis (it was a big looming thing on that show for years since they had a newspaper from the future saying he was going to die) but they made it oliver instead and it annoys me. like Arrow started this whole tv show universe (it is literally called the Arrowverse) and then it got the short end of the stick story-wise despite being the best consistent show. But either way, it was a fun ride and it gave me Olicity so that's all that counts. Plus now you can read Olicity fan fiction with no spoilers
