The Americans 2X3: The Walk In

Okay, so I really thought the walk in guy was going to feature much more heavily with all the focus we put on him last episode. But he's already dead. Did I miss something?

Philip and Elizabeth head to some factory to take pictures of the machine. However, when they get there, they find out it was moved the day before. Elizabeth threatens the guy and he tells her that they have some propellers that are still here. She watches over him while Philip takes the pictures. She then sort of threatens his children if he doesn't keep his mouth shut. They both decide that's enough and he will.

Afterwards, Elizabeth drops Philip off at the bus station (train station?) so he can get home for dinner. She's got to deliver a letter to Jared who is staying with the family he babysits for. Way back when, his mom had asked Elizabeth to please deliver a letter to him in the event of their deaths. She wants him to know about their family, where they come from, and what his parents actually did.

Elizabeth retrieves the letter and posing as a social worker, talks to Jared. However, after the conversation with him, she decides not to give him the letter. Instead, she burns it in a parking lot. I'm not 100% sure what made her change her mind, because she went with the intention of giving it to him. At first I thought it was because she wouldn't want her own kids to know, but it has to be something that Jared said. Maybe when he blamed himself for wanted to go swimming?

Meanwhile, Stan is busy tracking the walk in. When he inspects his work desk, he realizes that his intention to to assassinate someone who works at the bank while they head to a fancy party. I have no idea what this has to do with the KGB. But, either way, when Stan catches up to him and refuses to put his rifle down, Stan has to kill him. This seemed very anticlimactic, but maybe I missed something.

Also, Paige, who continues to be suspicious of her parents' behavior, skips school and hops a bus to go visit Elizabeth's aunt. However, when she gets there, it seems as though Helen has some kind of dementia, as she is confused about who Paige is. But, after she leaves, a perfect cogent Helen calls Philip to explain what happened.

When Paige returns home, she lies and says she stayed after school to try out for the debate team. But, Philip already knows that's a lie. However, when Paige says she just wanted to learn about the family since they don't really have any, he seems to soften a little. But the man is still pissed.

Oh, and I don't know what's going on with Nina. It seems like she got herself into trouble somehow (I thought the boss guy was happy with her though). But, finally getting Stan to tell her he loved her as started to make her a more desirable employee again. Not sure what's happening with that.
