Okay, so for this being an episode I've been dying for, I'm not sure I loved it as much as I should have. I just wish we'd stayed with the Lemon/George stuff and cut out the bachelorette party and Zoe's date with Wade's brother. We had so much important stuff going on, I feel like those things detracted from it.
George is busy trying to figure out if he actually saw Lemon and Levon or if he imagined it. He's staging reenactments and asking Zoe if he could have PTSD related hallucinations from his dad. Zoe tells him he probably didn't see anything, but it's obvious she feels awful about it. As soon as George leaves, she calls Lavon to discuss with him.
However, he's going to the bachelor party with George, Wade, and some other guys. And they've got a strict no phone policy. When she can't get Lavon, Zoe heads over to Lemon's to tell her that George saw them the night prior. Lemon tells her it's okay since George is on a hunting trip, but Zoe tells him that Lavon went with them.
This forces BB to tell Zoe that she'll be coming on the bachelorette party bus (with Lemon 100% did not want) to take care of the issue. On the bus (which Magnolia planned, even though Lemon was very specific about what she wanted), Lemon tells them they have to make a quick stop to talk to George. When they get to the camp, they find out George and Lavon are getting firewood alone and the two girls go after them.
On the walk, George starts with the leading questions to Lavon about what he did last night and who he was with. His answers are different from what Zoe told him earlier. Eventually it seems like both men realize there is no longer a point in beating around the bush. This happens just as Zoe is trying to convince Lemon that everything will probably be fine. And then they hear to the two of them argue about kissing his fiance.
Lavon is trying to apologize and tells George that Lemon had nothing to do with this. He kissed her (and has a crush on her), but she didn't kiss back and pulled away immediately. But BB (to her credit) says that's not true. She totally played a part. In private she tells George the truth, that she and Lavon had an affair. While he was in NYC she didn't feel loved. And she's so so sorry. He tells her not to be since it's over now. Thinking he means her affair, she agrees. But it turns out, he means their relationship and breaks up with her.
Lemon and Magnolia are back on the party bus where Magnolia tells her Breeland women don't quit and don't give up. BB decides to continue the party. Magnolia tells her it's fine to not party about a wedding that's no longer going to happen, but she's sure it will. I have no idea if this is delusion on her part, or she really thinks that 'by not quitting' she can win him back.
Later, George is waiting for Zoe when she comes home. She apologizes for lying to him, but tells him she was put in the middle and she hated it. George comes to the conclusion that they were never friends and leaves. I get where he's coming from though. And Zoe, as well. She was put in the shittiest of situations. But, at the end of the day, she chose Lavon over George.
This sucks. Even though Lemon and George have finally broken up, there doesn't seem like there is a path for him and Zoe right now. I know, I know. Drama. But we finally made it to this point. To be fair though, I'm much more invested in Lemon and Lavon getting together. I hate her, but I love him and he seems to think she's what will make him happy.
