The Originals 1X3: Tangled Up In Blue

I love the complicated relationship that Klaus and Rebekah have. It seems like as much as she knows it's a bad idea, deep down, she still wants her brother to love her. But it's also fun to watch them team up and be on the same side. For a little while, at least.

Okay, so Klaus and Rebekah are working together to figure out how to get Elijah back. Rebekah is working with Sophie to do a locator spell to try to find him. But, since magic is banned and Davina always knows when magic is being used, they need a distraction of someone else doing more magic.

Klaus sets up a scenario that kills a several birds with one stone. He gets rid of Marcel's right hand man, gets Katie to do magic, and saves Marcel's life so he's indebted to him. First he compels some new vampires who aren't on a steady stream of vervain yet to do his bidding. One of them goes after Katie, Thierry's witch girlfriend, causing Thierry to lose his mind and kill him. And Marcel's number one rule is no killing vampires.

Then Sophie (I think it was Sophie) convinces Katie that the only way to keep Thierry safe from Marcel's wrath is to use magic. And Katie, all hopped up on rage, goes after Marcel. But, right as she is about to kill him, Klaus pops up from behind her and snaps her neck, killing her. Marcel is so grateful that he agrees to give back Elijah.

While all this magic is happening, Davina is woken up out of a dead sleep and starts drawing furiously. When Marcel finally comes home, she assumes the old one's were after him, but he assures her it was actually Klaus that saved him, and he wants to return Elijah as a thank you. But she refuses claiming she won't give him back until the know how to kill them. And it kind of seems like she's the boss of this relationship, so I imagine it'll be a bit longer before we see Elijah again.

Hayley is still trapped in the house. One of the witches comes over and offers to find out the sex of the baby. She claims it's a girl, but then some freaky shit happens and she gets possessed or something and starts chanting in Latin. Later, Hayley tries to look up a translation, but is unable to come up with anything. But I'm pretty sure she didn't try Latin. (I'm going to be so embarrassed when this turns out not to be Latin for all I went on about it. Lol).

Oh, and for his sins, Marcel sentences Thierry to 100 years in the garden, which just looks like the withered graveyard from The Little Mermaid.
