NEW VIDEO: The Mysterious Fresh Body in the Civil War Grave

Last time we left our plucky heroine, she was having "Big Feelings"™ about video making while writing a research-heavy book. Since then, I have decided, and you heard it here first, to make twelve pieces of content this year. I've spaketh it and it shall be real.

Some of the content will be more experimental. If it's REAL experimental it might be patron-only and not released on the main channel. (Note: Beyond the 12 pieces I'll still be making fun patron-only offerings, instagram posts, etc.)

This first video (1 of 12 baby, let's gooooo) has been in the works since last year. I LOVE this story. I think it's fascinating and bizarre and I wish such elegant but educational stories fell into my lap every few weeks.

We almost didn't release this today, torpedoing THING 1 of 12 before YEAR OF THINGS even started. We got copyright claimed on the background track (which we had properly licensed) for the song about YouTube striking us. You can't make this up folks! Fortunately it lifted and the video is a go.

I have been writing with my friend Conner Habib in Copenhagen for a few weeks. I don't do many podcasts anymore since I am in hermit mode, but Conner is a different story. You can actually tell I am a little out of practice podcasting the first few minutes, but then I lock in and start my rants about short-form video, taking the time to deeply move through your biggest fears around death and destruction, and how our main goal through dark times should be zeroing in on your highest and truest contribution.
