It's MOTY time! For those not in the know, we're choosing BlueBell's Man of the Year. Apparently, Zoe's dad won something like 10 years in a row, and the town thinks that this year, it's going to be Brick. (The town has a penchant for doctors, apparently). Everyone is shocked to discover that the winner is George. When Brick inquires as to why, he finds out it's because Magnolia has been acting like a wild child.

Lavon, as mayor, has the job of giving a speech about George and throwing a cocktail party for him. (There's a gala for George the day after). However, Lavon is having a hard time coming up with anything to say, seeing as George is marrying the love of his life. Zoe offers to come as his plus one for support.

But, when he gets up to give the speech, he has nothing to say. And fumbles it badly. All he can get out is 'George Tuck is a man'. Zoe, thinking quickly, pulls him away and tries to rush people to toast to George, but Dash refuses without a speech. He offers to read Lavon's, but Zoe says she'll do it. She fumbles a bit at the beginning as well, but eventually comes up with a really lovely, heartfelt speech about how great George is.

Lemon is suspicious of Zoe (she saw her and George talking earlier) and requests to have the speech so she can have it framed. Zoe declines, but BB gets it anyway. All it says is, 'George Tucker is a man.' Zoe improvised that entire speech based on her feelings for him.

The next day, at the gala, George and his dad are arguing (Quick backstory: Lemon didn't want to invite his dad, Zoe talked him into it, Lemon is pissed, George thought dad was only here for his brother, turned out he was wrong- dad wants to make amends). Dad ends up having a heart attack (well not really, but something worse than a heart attack).

When they get him to the hospital, George finds out that he was wrong about his dad's intentions (And is sort of blaming Lemon for it- look I hate her, but this isn't really her fault. She had every reason to believe his dad would screw him over). Brick tells George that there is a good surgeon coming from Mobile, but if it was his father, he'd want the best. And that's Zoe's dad.

George tells him that he and Zoe are estranged (she started this episode with a plan to change her name to distance herself from him). Brick tells him if he asks her, she'll call him. And George says he knows she would and that's why he can't. But Wade overhears, tells Zoe and she calls him.

Zoe shows up at the hospital shortly after that. Lemon is immediately pissed, but Brick has her back off. Zoe goes into the room with George and tells him her father will be there in the morning. They hold hands by the bed with Lemon and Wade watching from the window.

Okay. It's time. I'm ready for Lemon and Levon, and Zoe and George to be together. I assume they'll flirt with a cliffhanger of it at the end of this season, but we'll see.
