I know the whole point here is that Callie can't talk to anyone about what happened, but it's killing me that she's not telling anyone what happened. Part of that is I feel like Stef and Lena deserve to know why she's moving out. And part of it is that I'm sure Callie would feel a lot better if she could unburden herself from this.
So, it seems like moving in with Robert is pretty much finalized by this point. She's told the moms, she's told Jude, she's told pretty much everyone who needs to know. But she's not telling anyone why (again, I get it, but I hate it). After she tells Jude, he heads over to Robert's house to chat with his wife (no idea what her name is) about what will happen when Callie comes to live there.
Later, Robert ends up driving him to the hamburger stand so they can bring Callie home. On the way, they stop by the new Girls United house that Robert helped fund. Callie looks so happy that everything is going well for Rita right now. Jude asks Robert if he could buy Callie a car so she could easily go back and forth between the houses and he agrees. When he drops them back off at the house, Stef and Lena look kind of stunned that he's driving them around.
At the hamburger stand, before Robert shows up, Daphne tells Callie that the cops came and talked to her last night. She told them that on the night she kidnapped Tasha, she was home alone all night, but she has no one who can vouch for that. Callie reminds her that they have no proof, so she just needs to keep quiet. Daphne is apologetic for dragging Callie into this, but as Callie said, what's done is done. We just need to move on from here.
Stef, who is still trying to figure out why Callie is moving out, goes to see Rita and basically blames her. She accuses her of using Callie to get Robert to buy her this house. And now, Callie feels indebted to him, so she's going to live with him. I don't know if Stef really believes this, but she's looking for anyone to blame at this point, and she's got no one, since Callie won't tell her anything.
Back at school, we finally comes to blows with Timothy. They insist that he's got to start teaching to the standardized tests and giving the kids more non fiction things to read. And he does the greatest act of malicious compliance by giving the kids a journal article about their school and how they want him to teach. I love this. However, neither Lena or the principal or amused and they end up firing him. Once the kids find out, Mariana orchestrates a walk out. And most, if not all, of the kids follow her. Love this.
And the end of the episode, Stef, Lena, and Callie are in front of a judge with Robert and his wife to give him custody of Callie. However, while this is happening, Daphne is telling the cops the truth (well, sort of); she did in fact kidnap Tasha. However, she claims it was only her and no one else was involved.
Does this mean we can keep Callie in the house now that the 'truth' is out? Please. I don't want this stress of her having this over her head for the rest of her life. Is there a statute of limitations on aiding and abetting kidnapping?
