Video Collab with Dr. Mike!

Hello Deathlings!

May I present to you the video collab you didn't know you wanted (OK some of you Dr. Mike crossover fans did ask for this) but we went ahead and did it, and now we're like, "Why didn't we do this sooner?"

Dr. Mike AKA Dr. Mikhail "Mike" Varshavski D.O. asked me to come on his YouTube channel to react to scenes from Six Feet Under, and since you all having been asking me to do this sort of video since forever, I happily obliged.

Real talk, deathlings, this was really fun.

Mike was as smart and gracious as he appears on his channel, his team was most excellent, and overall it was a great way to spend an afternoon (#AAMBTS – yes, an 11 minute video can take hours to shoot).

But more so, this video got me thinking: do you want me to do more reaction videos?

If so, tell me in the comments what other shows or movies you'd want me to react to.

Point me at the good, the bad, and the WTF from the deathy things you're watching – maybe you'll get an earful from me in another video!

Thank you for your support death (and med) nerds!

From an appropriate social distance,

Caitlin

*A quick, but important clarification: If you clicked on this post from your email, the subject probably read, "Caitlin Doughty's new patron-only video". This is not a patron-only video; this is a video that was released to the public. When we release patron-only videos we will explicitly state in the video info and in the video post that it is a "Patron Exclusive" video. Patreon recently changed the way Patrons-only video posts (i.e. these nifty messages that are delivered to your inbox) are released via email – automatically adding that "patron-only video" line to the subject, even if that's not the case. But that's not how we (and a lot of other creators) do things. So, sorry for the confusion! I hope this cleared things up! We're working on fixing this with Patreon.

Comments

I would like you to comment on SOME media, but please don't use up too much of your time on that. Maybe someone else in the community can do meme-reviews so that we can have it in our lives, but not lose the great research that your team does. Some popculture-stuff would bring people in, absolutely, but use it for good. Maybe only a few times a year? Thanks for everything you do. Ps. I found you through this exact video, so I think it’s a good thing, don’t get me wrong. I’ve just seen so many channels going down the ”most-popular thing road” and never coming back.
