I enjoyed this episode so much more than the last one. Also, I'm highly concerned about Elena having access to the Archer code. We know what happens in the future.
Okay, so, surprise, surprise, the Ninth Circle is after a weapon. When Team Arrow can't get enough information, they head over to the Department of Defense (I think) where Diggle claims he has a contact. Turns out, it's his step father that none of us knew existed. But he claims helping us would mean giving up classified information, so he won't do it.
However, shortly after this, the Ninth Circle break into Smoak Tech (with both Felicity and Elena there). As they are busy trying to find Archer, the army shows up and tries to fight them off, but they get away with the goods.
And then Diggle and his step dad ends up getting captured and tortured by the Ninth Circle. They want access codes for the biological weapon they just stole. At first he refuses to give it up, but when they start torturing Diggle, he relents and gives them the info. After that, John is able to get his helmet back online. Felicity finds him and the team heads over and saves them.
At some point, Oliver confronts Emiko with the fact that it was Dante who killed her mother, but no surprise there, she doesn't believe him. Or does she? Because not long after that, she confronts Dante about it. He initially denies it, but eventually claims it did it because her mother was keeping her weak. He made her strong. And she just kills him. So, I was right. This guy is nowhere near the level of how dangerous Diaz was. I was so annoyed that they kept trying to claim that. Now, if this guy comes back from the dead, we can revisit.
Meanwhile, Felicity is freaking out that Archer, which was supposed to be legacy, is being used for evil. She decides it's too dangerous as look what happens if it falls into the wrong hands, and she ends up destroying it. I feel so bad for her. She wanted this to work and was so excited about it. However, Elena copied the code and I'm pretty sure it's going to end up in a bad place anyway. Sigh.
In the flash forward, we find out that Diggle's biological son JJ, is actually the leader of the Deathstroke gang. Connor manages to get into the gang part of the market because of it. However, shortly after getting what he needed, the gang members come back to beat him up. Curious. He and Mia manage to get away with the tech, but I'm intrigued about what's happening here.
And we find out that we've got an army of soldiers who all have the Archer system basically beamed into their helmets. Which has been expanded and sort of makes them basically invincible. I think.
