Hart of Dixie 1X4: In Havoc & In Heat

Okay, so it's hot in Blue Bell. No surprise there. But apparently, the current heat wave is an excuse for everyone in the town to do whatever they want and act like they have no consequences. I don't really get it. I'm more like Zoe than the rest of the town folk, but they seem to be having a good time trying to talk her into it.

Unfortunately, a lot of this episode consists of Butter Bitch trying to impress her future in-laws (who are just as awful as she is, I have no idea what they can't all get along), which means she's on screen a lot. Lol. But, she spends, like, 24 hours making this duck that's George's mom's recipe, only for her to show up and tell Lemon they just ate it yesterday. So, in order to appease, BB claims that it's no big deal and they'll just go out for dinner instead.

But, when they get to the restaurant, they find out they are seated right next to the mayor and Didi on their first date. And BB can't stop staring at them. Eventually, she excuses herself from the table, and Levon follows after her accusing her of coming the restaurant to spy on the two of them. She denies it and storms off.

Shortly after, Zoe shows up asking for Brick's help. One of the patients they'd seen earlier, hauled off and hit Zoe claiming she didn't know who she was. Zoe is worried about her and thinks she needs a familiar face. So the two of them leave and head over to try to find the woman. (Which is great because this meal is a disaster. The father's keep arguing about football, the George's mom ended up ordering fucking duck- bitch, the mayor and Didi came over so Levon could try to make Lemon jealous. It was a nightmare).

Anyway, the find the girl at her house, passed out on her lawn. When they wake her up and get her in her car, they really it seems like carbon monoxide, which would account for all the symptoms she was having today. So, they get her on some oxygen and all is well.

Zoe then heads over to Wade's so she can have her consequence free evening in the heat. However, by the time it's about to happen, the rain starts pouring and the heat breaks. He tells her she can still stay, but she claims, she's not that sort of girl.

At the same time, Lemon has gone over to see Levon and tells him things have to be over between them. He claims they have been for six months. And she says something like, 'Maybe officially, but we have to stop this tension between us.' Then she leaves. He chases her and they end up in the same instance as Zoe and Wade. They are about it kiss, but the rain starts, the heat breaks and they pull apart.

If Butter Bitch was even the tiniest bit a better person, I might have felt bad for her in this episode. But she just makes it impossible to. Someone remind me why George puts up with her.

Also, I know I've been against Zoe and Wade, but I think at this point, I might be okay with it. He's so much less obnoxious than he was in the pilot.
