So, somehow, we've literally all (minus Sucre) ended up in Sona. Which is the worst of the worst. There are no cells, no rules, no guards. It's just a bunch of violent people tossed together. And a couple times a week, guards show up (they have them patrolling the perimeter so no one escapes) and drag out the dead. It's real dignified.
Anyway, Lincoln is busy trying to figure out where both Michael and Sara are. He finds Michael and the embassy tells Lincoln that he can get Michael moved to a less insane prison the following day. So he tells Michael he's just got to hold on in this hellhole for the next 24 hours, which is looking difficult.
Pocket Boy shows up and immediately Pockets himself onto the head dude in charge in hopes (I assume) that it will keep him safe. Head dude in charge later makes Michael fight to the death with some other inmate. Only rules are no weapons. So Michael fights him and obviously wins a couple of times, but refuses to kill him, so the guy keeps staggering back up. Eventually someone tosses him a knife and he charges Michael with it. But, Mahone steps in and kills the guy claiming the rule was no weapons. And it looks like Michael gets to walk away alive.
Bellick meanwhile, seems to be getting the worst of it. He's been given the duty of cleaning the bathrooms, which is literally just a room full of shit. He hasn't eaten or had any water. He's honestly a mess. If I didn't know how shitty of a person he was, I might feel bad for him, but I don't.
On the outside, LJ calls Lincoln and asks to meet him. It's obvious something is going on. Lincoln gets to the meet, but LJ is not there. Turns out, there's some guy in Sona that these people want to get out. So, Lincoln goes to tell Michael that the transfer is not happening. Instead, Michael has to break this guy out. He's got a week and if he can't do it, they kill LJ and Sara. Of course. These have to be Company people, right? I mean, they said the whole point was for Michael to break out.
Now, all this said, I realize Michael is a genius and all, but he had, like, a year to plan breaking out of Fox River. He has no idea about where he is, the layout, what he might do if he manages to actually get out. This has failure written all over it. I mean, I'm sure he won't die or anything, but I cannot fathom how this would work.
Also, at one point, Lincoln is called to identify a body at the morgue that might be Sara, turns out it's not. But then we find out the people holding LJ also have Sara, but we don't see her. I don't know if that means anything, but it does seem odd that we would just believe that Sara's alive and being held captive because they say so. I wonder if she's actually dead, but know that Michael would not help them if he knew that. Hmmm.
