I love when our thumbnails enter surrealist territory. There is no better video than this one (the maybe true, maybe legend) story of the medicinal honey mummy. Corpse honey for whatever ails you!
Here's the thing, I don't think the story in this video is far-fetched at all. We know how often corpses were used as medicine (we've done previous videos on that) and how often corpses were preserved in honey. As the meme goes: Why not both? Two great corpse tropes together at last.
Today is my LAST DAY ON TOUR. I've been away from home for weeks, and can't wait to sleep in my own little bed. But meeting everyone has been incredible. The support for this series continues to grow, even as YouTube continues to make it harder to share and grow channels. They aren't intentionally targeting my channel or anything (although 3 of my last 4 videos have been demonetized by manual review) I just think it's an algorithm that's not helping anyone who is not a huge, 5 million views a video type creator.
This is not a complain about YouTube post. But honestly I think I should be spending more time on Patreon (rewards, interaction, etc). I say this because I'm trying to play by the book and impress a faceless corporation (YouTube), but that's never going to work! This channel has always been supported by you, the individuals who can donate a small amount per month. That's what will keep us going, not the whims of the algorithm.
That being said, I'm going to (and speaking at) the Patreon annual conference tomorrow, and I hope I learn new things and bring back ideas to share.
Take two honey toes and call me in the morning,
Caitlin
