High School Musical: The Musical: The Series 2X7: The Field Trip

Okay, so that crack that seemed like it was starting to form between Nini and Ricky has grown to the size of a crater. It certainly didn't help that Blonde Bitch Lily seemed to make sure to poke at Ricky's insecurity about the Rose Song.

We start with Nini being invited on the Morning Show (which is being hosted by E.J. and Gina) to talk about her Rose Song which is getting a ton of views on the East High's Instagram. She talks about how she's proud of it, but doesn't really seem to say very much. But, Ricky and Red are watching and Red seems to think Ricky should be upset as she wrote a solo song and a duet like instructed. Ricky claims he's proud and happy for her, but sort of trails off at the end and disappears.

It's also the day when Kourtney is revealing everyone's costume, but she keeps getting distracted by texting with Howie. However, eventually, they discover that their Beast mask is missing. And after sleuthing through North High's Instagram, determine they must of stolen. So, they gang all heads over there to try to retrieve it.

When they get there, they spilt up. Gina and E.J. are lookouts, and the rest go to the costume room to look for it. However, Gina and E.J. get distracted talking to each other and Blonde Bitch Lily cottons on to what's going on. She and some of the rest of the drama club confront them and the Wildcats claim they stole their mask. They decide to settle which school is better with a dance off. But since there is no judge, both schools decide they are the winner.

However, they find out that if East High uses the Rose Song, they will get disqualified from the Menken Award. Which Ricky seems to think it's fine if they don't use it. This leads to a confrontation with Nini about how she thought he was supportive of the song. He claims it would be nice if his girlfriend wasn't singing to the whole school about how he kept her under glass. They fight about it and go their separate ways. Later, Nini starts a new Instagram page that for her music only and announces herself as Nina. Which does not bode well for her relationship with Ricky. Seeing as, she's only called Nini because he couldn't pronounce her name when they were younger.

Meanwhile, Kourtney finds out that Howie has been leaking info to North High in quite the betrayal. He wants to explain, but she refuses to let him. I have no idea what he could have said anyway.

And during the dance off, Jenn and Zak were having their own performance. She claimed she wanted to prove that she still had it. Afterwards, she decides she does. And they talk about how it might be a good idea to try to get all the students to get along. But then, Jenn finds out that it was Zak who stole the Beast mask. Come on, man. You're a grown ass adult. What are you doing?
