True Blood 5X7: In the Beginning

I don't know what the fuck is going on. I'm truly at a loss. Was the Authority on Russell's side the whole time? Did we kill Meloni because he was the only one who actually believed in the cause? Why would anyone follow Russell anywhere? Plus, we're still sort of acting like we believe that humans are good. I'm so confused.

So the Authority, plus Bill, Eric, and Russell drink from the blood of Lilith, and they all run through New Orleans like they are on acid. They are threatening and eating humans. They end up at a bar where a wedding is being thrown (I was so confused because this bar looks exactly like Merlotte's) and they eat and kill everyone. Then, Lilith appears out of a drop of blood and just happily surveys the mess they are making. Dead Godric shows up and talks to Eric is Swedish. No idea what he said, but it seemed to scare Eric off eating the human. 🤷‍♀️

While this is going on, Sookie finds out that her fairy powers are finite since she's part human and if she uses them all up, she won't be a fairy anymore. So, she just starts shooting her power (which I guess she's finally figured out how to use) off into the sky to get rid of it.

Alcide is busy preparing for a fight over pack leader with JD. But, JD is giving all the werewolves V so they can beat him. Thankfully, grandma (forget her name) shows up right before he gives some to Emma. And at least now she believes Alcide when he told her JD was on V. Maybe she'll end up helping us out in the end.

Hoyt has hooked up with the masked guys who are driving around shooting at supernatural creatures. He's now decided that he hates vampires.

Jessica was happily feeding on a guy when Jason shows up upset about his parents. Jessica lets him vent for awhile and then kisses him, but he's upset because he can taste another guy's blood in her mouth. They get into a fight and Jason ends up shooting her in the head. She's fine, obviously, but she kicks him out. Poor Jason. He's really going through it right now and he can't seem to find anyone to talk to. I mean, he and Sookie did talk a bit earlier, but Sookie also needs support right now, so he can't just take from her.

This show is insane. Lol.
