High School Musical: The Musical: The Series 2X5: The Quinceañero

So, it's Carlos's birthday! And he's sad that everyone (but, you know, mostly Seb) has forgotten, or doesn't know. He tries to drop some hints but they aren't really working out for him.

Thankfully, the gang is all over it. Seb has planned a surprise party at the farm (and lured Carlos there by telling him he needs help with some tractor stuff). Carlos is not thrilled, but goes along anyway. When he opens the doors and sees a party for him, he's devastated he hasn't worn party clothes. But, these kids know each other really well, and I've brought him an outfit to change into.

Gina gets up and does a dance that reminiscent of one Carlos did on Instagram many moons ago. It's lovely and everyone loves it. The two decide they are basically kindred spirits. Then, Seb gets up and plays a power ballad by a woman (that I have no idea what it is), but everyone is very emotional.

Shortly after the festivities, Gina calls her mom and tells her she's ready to come home. I'm sorry. What? We just got you back! You cannot leave again. I know you have a thing for Ricky, but Ashlyn really seems to like having you around! (Not to mention me, Carlos, and E.J.) I hate this.

Ricky is trying to get Nini a spot in the show, but Miss Jenn tells him all the parts have been cast. Until, she finds out that North High is also doing Beauty and the Beast (and have actual wolves?!?). She then decides Nini is their secret weapon for the show. She doesn't say anymore, but she's totally gonna be the rose that drops all it's petals, right? There were way too many references to that in this episode.

Also both robotics guy and Ricky's dad are at this party, seemingly to court Miss Jenn. I have no idea which one (if either she wants), but I'd prefer it to be Ricky's dad. I know the enemies to lovers could be fun for the robotics guy, but I'd like her to have something calm as she's so high strung. Lol.
