The Flash 5X9: Elseworlds Part 1

Alright, so, I was not actually all that confused! There wasn't a ton of Flash specific stuff as there have been in previous crossover seasons.

This dude comes up to this doctor who has just tried to give some lesson on eugenics (that no one wanted to hear about) and is all, 'Here's a giant ass book. You can make the world however you want with it.' And then, it's morning and Oliver wakes up in Barry's bed and is now apparently married to Iris. She is totally fine with this because she's certain that this is actually Barry.

For a little while, Oliver tries to be Barry, but it's not going all that well. Eventually, he decides to head over to Star City to see Oliver (who is actually Barry- it's confusing to type out, but not while you're watching it). At least the two of them are in this together.

I can't remember how, but they both end up back at STAR Labs trying to explain the situation, but no one on team Flash believes them. (Which is ridiculous. This is where you draw the line of weird occurrences?) Until they can figure out what's going on, they lock the two of them in some cell that inhibits meta human powers. They decide they need to head over to Earth 38 and see if Kara can help. Maybe this is only an issue on their Earth.

So, after some planning, they manage to break out of the cell. And then Barry convinces Iris that he is her husband and she helps them escape with one of those portal things. They pop up Smallville and Kara knows exactly who they are, so this is promising. She introduces them to her cousin Superman (Who doesn't enjoy staring at Tyler Hoechlin in glasses?) and the two of them try to teach each other who to fight as the other in case we're stuck like this for a while. Turns out, Oliver needs darkness to access the Green Arrow, and Barry uses happiness, so it's a bit of a learning curve for them.

Then, Cisco shows up telling them that everyone back home believes them, but could they please come back now? Some giant robot thing is attacking the city. They head back with Supergirl and Superman. Between the four of them, they manage to take down this robot thing. Yay.

But, Cisco shows them the giant book guy from the beginning. They don't know exactly what he is, or what he wants, but thanks to Oliver's super fast drawing skills now as The Flash, they know that he's in Gotham City. (Plus, he's all like, 'You have no idea what's coming. And you have no way of stopping it.') So, I guess that's where we'll be in the next episode.

This was just pure enjoyable to watch.
