High School Musical: The Musical: The Series 2X2: Typecasting

Okay, is it just me, or should Ricky have never got the lead part. His audition did not seem good. Maybe it's me, but I'm not all about it.

So, when we started this episode, I thought maybe we were losing the actress who plays Nini and we were getting this mean blonde girl to replace her. However, now I think we'll be getting both of them. We did get quite a bit of Nini in Denver and at first I thought we would just get a bunch of her life, but as the episode went on, it seemed obvious that Nini is not happy there. I'm hoping she'll end up coming back soon. I don't like see her as the outsider.

Regardless, it's audition day for Beauty and the Beast. Ashlyn write a song for her, Gina, and Kourtney to sing. But, Gina says she wants to sing something on her own. After the group warm up, new blonde bitchy girl tells Gina that it's obvious that the options are one of the two of them as the rest of them are just amateurs. I hate this girl. Thankfully, Gina immediately sticks up for her friends and claims they are really talented.

When it's time for individual auditions, Ashlyn describes the song she wrote as being about 'the power of friendship,' which blonde bitch makes fun of. This prompts Gina to ask Ashlyn if she can sing with them instead. She does and everyone (minus blonde bitch) loves it. Then later, Red is doing a tap dance and falls over and that fucking blonde bitch has the audacity to fucking laugh at him like he's a joke. OMG. I HATE HER.

But, Miss Jenn is a queen. When the cast list goes up, blonde bitch doesn't even get a part, and Jenn tells her exactly why. Ashlyn gets to be Belle, Ricky is the Beast (which I disagree with), and E.J. is Gaston (obviously). They are celebrating at the pizza place when Nini calls Ricky and he passes the phone around to everyone. She seems so sad that everyone is having a really good time.

Meanwhile, over at her boarding school, things are not going as well for her. She's trying to learn, and stretch, and grow, but they are trying to keep her shoved into a box. I don't really think this is the place for her. And I'm not just saying that because I want her to come back.
