Shameless 11X9: Survivors

Okay, so we are really come up to the end here. And minus a couple of scenes, this didn't really seem like a show in it's 11th season, with only 3 episodes to go. I feel like we should be wrapping up more stuff. Liam has a place to live, Debbie feels okay with weekly dinners, and everything else was just kind of filler.

Frank is running around trying to get his old crew together for a last heist. He wants to use the money to buy the Gallagher house from Lip. But he realizes all his old associates are either, well, old, dead, or retired. Plus, Frank keeps forgetting what he's doing halfway through doing everything and nothing really gets accomplished.

Liam tries to figure out where to live when the house gets sold. Eventually, Lip tells him that he and Tami have already decided he could come and live with them. Okay. Great. But why didn't you tell him that half a season ago? This poor kid has been wandering around trying to be okay with being homeless. None of you could be bothered to reassure him?

Ian and Mickey try to deal with the aftermath of Terry's death. None of the rest of the family wants anything to do with it. They took everything that was valuable and split. Ian finds a box labeled for Rachael. The open it and find some pictures of her with Terry and a bunch of Nazi shit. They bring the box to her and find out that she and Terry were in love, but he ended up killing her dad, and then she married a Black guy. So that sort of, might, explain the white power-ness of Terry.

After a bit of a mix up, they find out that Terry has been brought down to a communal gravesite. However, he wanted to be cremated, so Mickey and Ian take it upon themselves to light his cardboard coffin on fire. Guys. This is not going to work.

V is with her mom in Kentucky helping her get settled. Well, really, she's just trying to convince her how much she's gonna hate it here and why she should just come back home. While she's away, Kevin is watching the girls. Well, he's supposed to be watching the girls. But while he's on duty, they end up eating a bunch of edibles, have some beer, and disappear.

Lip and Brad end up getting kidnapped to fix a mob boss toy car for his kid. Just no.

And Carl is now with the evictions unit. It seems no ones really wants him anywhere. Sigh. But, either way, he's back with his old partner (who's got a whole new- boring and annoying- outlook on life). And, on his first assignment, the guy getting evicted tries to shoot the cops, so the SWAT team is brought in. And by SWAT team, I mean one asshole guy.

So yeah. This was the episode. I think we really needed more at this point.
