Okay, so I feel like I was half right. I was sure that Callie went to see her dad to make sure he didn't hurt Jude, and she did. But, I think she also went to try to get a little bit of closure for herself as well.
So when she goes to see him, he tells her that he wanted to get the two of them back, but it takes time to get a job and a decent place to live after you've been in prison. And he couldn't ask anything from them before he had everything in place. He really does want them, but wants to do what's best for them.
The next day, he comes over to the house and he basically tells the two of them the same thing. That he loves them, he'll always be their dad, but he's signing away his rights because he can't give them what Lena and Stef can. It's pretty emotional, actually. I'm not sure they are all acting like they can never see each other again, but they do all seem to be a good place with one another afterwards.
Jesus, meanwhile, is really struggling without his meds. He's back to eating shitty food, unable to focus, short and snippy with people. If he fails this test, they are going to kick him off the wrestling team, but he just can't buckle down and study properly. He leaves school in the middle of the day to run home and get his meds. However, when he walks into the house, he runs directly in Timothy, who has just completed the sperm donation for Lena. So, the cat's out of the bag.
While they claim they wanted to wait until Lena was pregnant to tell the rest of the kids, Stef now claims it's very important that they are on board with it. (What were they going to do if after Lena was pregnant, they all said 'no'?) Thankfully, they are all pro this. So, that's good. They a little concerned that Timothy is going to be the father (Well, not really. Well maybe, actually. There's is definitely something odd going on with this situation. And Stef continuously talking about the contract that he hasn't yet signed, but we know have his sperm), ultimately, all seems good with them.
But speaking of odd, I don't know what the hell is going on with Mike's sober sex friend (you as soon as I figure out her name, she'll be off the show 🤣). She's very much overstepping her bounds with Brandon, and then when Mike disagrees, she assures him that he's 100% correct, and then goes all in on that. Also, she's trying to get Brandon to move into the apartment more permanently by telling him that if he lived here, he and Callie could date- she'd get his father to be okay with it. What? Then she's sort of flirty with him? I do not know what is motivating this woman.
And then we have Zac's mom. She comes to school to invite Mariana over for dinner. However, when she gets there, Zac is confused as no one told him she was coming. At first it's okay, but as the meal goes on, we see his mom get forgetful, and confused, and mix things up. And I assume, at this point, she's got some kind of dementia. Zac sort of plays it off like his mom is weird, and Mariana is all, 'no I like it, it's kooky.'
But later, after Mariana and Zac hang up after a 'you hang up, no you hang up' conversation, Mariana's phone rings immediately. And it's his mom telling her she knows what she's doing to her son, she's a whore, stay after. It's aggressive and scary. Now I think some kind of bipolar disorder? I don't know, but there is definitely some kind of mental health issue happening here.
Also, I can't be the only one who thinks it's crazy that Stef got so bent out of shape that Mike grounded Brandon, right? Is he supposed to call her every time something happens? She never gave him the same curtesy.
