The Vampire Diaries 4X4: The Five

Alright, so, it seems like The Five were these original, superpower vampire hunters from back in, like, the 1100s. But, they haven't been seen in 900 years. And now we've got Owen (I finally learned his name, so he'll probably be dead soon).

Klaus has him chained up trying to get info out of him, but he's not talking. Turns out, the person who actually has information that they can use is Rebekah, but she and Klaus are not really on speaking terms right now, and she's unwilling to help him. So, Klaus enlists Stefan for help. All he needs to do is get Rebekah over to the house, which he does.

She and Klaus sort of pretend to make amends, and she tells the story of what she knows about The Five. Apparently, way back when, she fell in love with one of them. And learns that the tattoo is actually a treasure map which leads to the ultimate weapon to kill all vampires. However, it can only to read by using the guy's sword as a decoder. And only Rebekah knows where that is. And what is the ultimate weapon, you ask? A cure for vampirism.

Stefan is now desperate to get this to save Elena. So, even though it looks incredible difficult and painful for him, he helps Klaus trick Rebekah until revealing where the sword is. And then, they dagger her, so she can't stop them. Klaus heads off to get the sword instructing Stefan to hide Rebekah's body and tell no one.

Meanwhile, Elena, Damon, and Bonnie are at college. Bonnie is getting some of gram's old things from a professor there, and Damon is trying to teach Elena how to properly feed. It doesn't go great. At first, Elena feels too bad to eat anyone. And then, when she finally gets over that, she goes a little overboard, and runs around the party like she's on ecstasy. She and Damon are flirty dancing and having a good time, under Bonnie sees them and it all comes crashing down for Elena. Claiming she's supposed to be here with Stefan, not Damon.

 Eventually, Owen manages to break free and head's over the college, as it was the professor that Bonnie was meeting with that sent him to Mystic Falls in the first place. Who is this guy? (The professor, not Owen). Are the five back? Does this somehow get passed on from one person to the next when they die? When Owen dies, is Jeremy gonna be expected to pick up the mantle?
