Another goos thing about this show is the fact that nobody is completelly evil, everybody is the hero of his/her own story and Katherine is no exception. characters here have motivations, dept, and act according to their psycological profile, that is perfectly consistent to what happen in thir life since they were young. Everybody here moves in a grey area, some move more towards the darkness, some more to the light, but everybody is not entirely good or bad and more importantly the show gives you the motivations for being who they are, allowing the audience to be more emotionally engaged with the characters. That is why you like everybody. Don't worry you will not being disappointed by the casting of Klaus. You already seen it with Eljiah, Daniel Gilles is so good at it, with his calm, composure and elegance, making maximum damanage with minimum effort. The casting of the show is superbe.
