Arrow 7X3: Crossing Lines

I didn't really realize that I didn't like this episode while I was watching it. But, when I did the discussion afterwards, I had a lot of complaints. Lol.

So, we've got one of those 12 hours earlier episodes, which I typically like. We see Oliver getting blood all over a guard. And then we flashback.

To John, Lyla, and Curtis. In Switzerland. They are trying to infiltrate some bank to find out about their shady practices. I don't really care about this. I don't know what it is with the women on this show. I don't like Lyla. I don't like Laurel. I don't like Dinah. So, so much of this episode involving Lyla rubbed me the wrong way. Regardless, all of this is a ploy to show that Lyla is giving classified info to a criminal. And then tells John he has no idea what they are up against. This is the worst evil she's ever seen. Lies. Have you been watching this show, Lyla? I don't know who this is, but it's so not as bad as anything else we've dealt with.

Felicity, meanwhile, convinces Watson to work with her to take down Diaz (you know after bugging her office and figuring out what she needed to tell her). Unfortunately, it does not work out as planned. Something (I think we are supposed to assume the Silencer) is blocking Felicity's ability to hack. Which means, Diaz and his guys get away. But, Felicity manages to have Rene capture Silencer. So, at least we've got something. But Watson ends up getting reassigned, so Felicity is on her own going forward. (Well, I guess Rene is in now).

Over in prison, Oliver has gotten screwed over too many times. He forces his way into a prison fight. When he wins, he goes after Brick, demanding the info he wants on Diaz. However, he tells Oliver the info he seeks is on the really shitty level, and Oliver is not depraved enough to go there. So, Oliver slashes up a bunch of guards and is being escorted down to Level 2.

I know I would have been pissed if Oliver was out of jail as soon as he got in there, but I'm so ready for him to be out. He and Felicity need to go on an extended vacation that I have all access to. I'm so ready for a happy ending you guys.
