I hate that I feel bad for Wendy right now. But honestly, if I were her, I'd have preferred that Jax just kill me.
So it turns out that Bobby made a deal with Clay. He's got to confess to the invasions, but in exchange, Bobby will vote 'no' on killing him. And honestly, it's probably a good thing he made that deal. They voted him out without even giving it much thought. And it didn't take much for most of them (minus Juice) to vote to kill him. But Bobby, at the end of the table, has the last vote and he votes 'no.' So Jax ends up trying to beat him to death. It was quite entertaining. I wish they'd just let him do it.
I'm not sure if Bobby really was doing this to save Jax, as he claimed, or just trying to keep one of his oldest friends alive. But either way, Jax is PISSED at Bobby right now.
And like Jax doesn't have enough shit to worry about right now, the IRA and cartel business blows up in his face. While Jax is explaining to Gaalen about what's about to happen, the cartel shows up to 'make sure' that things are going okay. And open fire on everyone. The IRA and the cartel are in a shoot out. It's a hot mess. Bros. Jax has this shit handled. It was taken care of. You assholes made things 20 times worse. Fuck me, man.
So now Gaalen is pissed, and the club goes on lockdown. Everyone is being set up in the clubhouse, since we don't know what Gaalen will do. Jax heads over to the hospital to collect Tara and finds Wendy with Abel (Oh right, Tara is concerned about what will happen if she's in jail and Jax is dead. We can't leave the kids with Gemma, so she picks Wendy? Fuck no. Give them Lyla.)
But, the Irish have been tailing and after seeing Wendy with Abel, they think she's important to Jax so they kidnap her. The Irish call and want, like, $500,000 for her return. Nero has the money and gives it to Jax (because of course he does, he's so totally back in the life now). Clay and Tig go to make the exchange with Gaalen. Clay hangs around afterwards to tell Gaalen that he'll be taking over the gun business from outside SAMCRO. Oh, and can he smuggle him out to Belfast? Since Jax wants to kill him. He agrees. Clay asks Gemma to go with him, but she heads over to have sex with Nero instead.
Once Wendy is safe, she loses her shit on Jax and Tara. She just found out about Abel being kidnapped and is all 'I'm reporting all this shit. My baby is not gonna deal with this shit.' I mean, she's not really wrong, but she's Wendy, so π€·ββοΈ. But then, we set up a situation where it seems like Jax is gonna kill her, but instead, he just assaults her and tells her how he's gonna tell them she came into Abel's daycare ranting about crazy kidnappings and the IRA, so he'll demand a drug test. And then he shoots her up with drugs. This feels really low, Jax. I guess you and Opie are right. That gavel does seem to corrupt.
We finally figure out what's going on with Donal Logue's character (no idea what his name in the show is, but they should just let this actor be in all the things. I'm always happy when he pops up in something). He's a retired US Marshall and nurse that Otto killed was his sister, and apparently, out for Tara. I know Jax promised you you're not going to jail, but I feel like you've got at least a 50/50 shot here, Tara. (And as much as I love Donal Logue, it feels really late in the season to be starting this. There is only one episode left!)
