Sons of Anarchy 5X11: To Thine Own Self

Okay, I kind of loved the guys being so excited to be in that car zooming away from Nero's crew. They looked so happy. And there truly isn't a lot of happiness in this show. Also, I had a dream last night that I had just starting dating Bobby, but Clay didn't like it because he said I was old lady material. He's right, too.

Holy shit. So much happened in this episode, that I don't even know what to write here. This is probably going to be a mess.

So, Otto killing the nurse means RICO is off the table, but also that Tara could be in serious trouble. Jax assures her that won't happen, but he doesn't really have any control over that.

Jax tells Juice it's now or never to find those documents. He rips Clay's house apart and finally finds them in an air vent. Jax tells him to not leave Clay alone in the house and Jax was calling the rest of the guys over. He'd meet them there shortly. However, Jax never makes it as he ends up getting kidnapped. We all assume it was Nero's guys (see above mentioned car fun) as Jax wouldn't sell the guns to them, but it turns out, it's the cartel.

Either way, everyone is waiting for him Clay's when Chibs gets a call from Bobby that Jax has been taken. They all head out to take care of this (I think they are going back to the clubhouse, but I can't remember) and Clay stays back under the guise of needing his medication (I think) and while he's alone in the house, removes the documents.

The cartel is upset because they think Jax is about to get out of the business and leave them without guns. But Jax assures them he has a plan in place. They are getting guns from Lin. And the Mayans are going to mule the coke. Everything is the same except SAMCRO is out. They seem fine with this.

Nero, who is under the impression that it was his guys who kidnapped Jax, losing his fucking mind and shoots and kills half his crew. Poor Nero. He'd been out for so long. 2 months hanging out with Jax and he's back in the life. Sigh.

Jax brings them getting out of guns and drugs to the table and everyone votes yes. Finally. I'm so ready for them to be out of this cartel bullshit. I mean, I sure it can't be that easy, but being in it is awful.

Later, Jax, Chibs, and Bobby go to get the paperwork from Clay's house which as been moved. Jax is PISSED. Bobby tells him he's got to let his vendetta go. What he did tonight was prime president material. And that's what he should be focusing on. And then Jax tells both Bobby and Chibs the truth about Clay. He killed J.T., he killed Piney because he found out, he ordered the hit on Tara. He tells him Clay needs to taken care of.

Afterwards, Bobby goes to see Clay (What are you doing, Bobby? I don't wanna date you anymore) and seems to warn him about what might be coming. I have no idea whose side anyone is on anymore. We've got Bobby and Juice who could both potentially be on Clay's side if shit goes down. We've also got Tig, who Clay has asked to come be part of his new after SAMCRO venture. True he basically just walked out on Clay, but he doesn't know that Jax is potentially planning to turn him over to Pope.

OMG. The end of this season is gonna be brutal, isn't it?
