High School Musical: The Musical: The Series 1X5: Homecoming

Okay, I wasn't in love with this storyline for NIni and Kourtney, which is annoying because I love Kourtney. But, I was all in on Carlos and Seb. OMG. The cow got loose. I lost it at that. What an excellent excuse for being late.

Anyway, Nini and Kourtney decide to ditch the Homecoming dance and have an anti-dance girl's night out instead, which totally gets taken over Miss Jenn. The go to karaoke, but Nini doesn't want to sing, realizing that she only got this part, because she got the lead at camp, and she only got that lead because E.J. poisoned the girl who was supposed to have it. Eventually, she and Kourtney sing happily outside. I feel very meh about all this.

While they are there though, Miss Jenn runs into Ricky's dad, who claims she might be his date, but later confesses she was just cute and he didn't know how to approach. They seem to hit it off okay, but Miss Jenn won't leave the girls even though he offers to drive her home.

The much better part of this episode, is Carlos working with Seb on Sharpey's dance number. Seb claims he's only good when he's dancing with Carlos, so Carlos asks him to the Homecoming dance, which after a moment of hesitation, Seb accepts.

However, when we get to Homecoming, Seb does not show up. Poor Carlos (and I) were so sad. But Robotics teacher tells him he can just enjoying dancing by himself. He somehow ropes the entire dance into a giant choreographed group dance, which everyone loves. And right at the end, Seb shows up. He apologizes for three three hours late, but a cow got loose, and he had to capture it. And he's has terrible reception on the farm. This was adorable.

Meanwhile, Gina has no plan. She shows up with E.J., bosses him around, and eventually just dumps some punch on his head. Apparently, she though Nini would quit the show if she saw them together. That seems like a crazy plan. But, Ricky and Gina sort of talk things through and it looks like maybe they are gonna end up being friends.
