I'm sort of surprised that this was a mid season finale. The only thing that seemed cliffhanger-y at all was Eddie thinking about moving to Texas. Also, I didn't really love this episode.
We had Athena running around chasing down the guy who beat up the cart kid. I'm a big proponent of putting your carts back at the grocery store. But that kid is insane. Just walk around knowing you're better than those people. Anyway, turns out the guy whose actual job it is to put the carts back is the one who jumped him. And then the kid is thrilled, literally thrilled, to get his job.
Brad is running around trying to be an actual firefighter. He gets chastised by Bobby when he removes an unconscious woman after a car accident and gets put on truck cleaning duty. He and Eddie commiserate about their kids who don't talk to him, and he recommends Eddie do something about it now, rather than later, when it's too late. But then Brad gets to be an actual hero by talking a guy out of suicide by being a famous actor. Sure. Why not.
Later, we all end up on a movie set where Chim, Buck, and Eddie are all playing doctors. What the hell is happening here? Then Brad asks Hen for advice on how to make the scene more real. I was so confused. When did we become actors? I feel like I somehow watched a blooper reel.
And then, Eddie starts thinking about taking Brad's advice and looks up houses for sale (or rent, I'm not really sure) in El Paso. Buck seems shocked, but quickly recovers and tries to be the best home finding wing man he can.
