Shameless 11X4: NIMBY

It took my way to long to remember that NIMBY was not in my backyard. 😳

So, I guess this episode was fine. I think it was better than we've been getting lately, but that feels like a really low bar.

I care zero about all the pageant stuff. I'm skipping over all that.

Carl's is starting to become a little less enthusiastic about his new partner. And I don't blame him. She is the worst kind of cop. The ones who harass people who aren't hurting anyone. I mean, seriously, just leave the damn drug dealers alone. Go round up people who are killing and hurting people. Anyway, after she humiliates a woman who was selling loose cigarettes on the corner, Carl goes back at the end of the episode and returns her clothes, wig, and supplies. He also suggests a better spot for her to sell where she won't be bothered. It's a really nice moment.

Lip and Tami meet with one of Tami's old teachers for brunch. The two of them are super flirty. Lip tells Tami he has a thing for her, which she denies. Later, she informs him that they dated and slept together while he was her teacher. Lip tells her she was taken advantage of, but she denies it and claims she was just mature for her age and they really had something special. Then, the teacher shows up with his fiancé, who is seven-fucking-teen who is spouting to them to same shit that Tami said to Lip. Look, I give Tami a lot of shit, but this is 100% not her fault. Afterwards, she feels like a cliche (again, not her fault), and Lip helps her feel better about it. It's another nice moment.

After quitting his job, Ian has turned into Mickey and is just sitting around eating cereal all day. Somehow Mickey has because the responsible one and forces Ian to come work security with him. When they drop off the money to the dispensary (in tactical gear), the owner (?) is impressed and offers them jobs for $1000/day. Come on. I'd kill to be making $1000/week. I'm very luck if I'm making $1000/month at this point.

But, the big story this episode is that dozens of Milkovich's have moved in next door, and are busy being racist, white trash. They are shooting guns off all the time, hanging confederate flags, and generally just causes mayhem. Apparently, Terry is having sex with the 80 something year old who lives there, so Frank and Liam decide to get her on video to show elder abuse. However, it turns out, she's thrilled to be having sex with Terry and claims he's a beast in the sack. Gross.
