Ok, so death acceptance is a hard road, with ups and downs and ins and outs. But I hope this gets you started. This type of thinking is what REALLY helps me, and I hope it helps you as well.

I just joined your patreon recently and am loving everything so far! I struggle with this question quite a bit because on one hand I like the idea of "pyre's" especially since watching " The Last Kingdom" on Netflix where in one scene, Uthred has his deceased wife on the pyre and the nun standing beside him says...it's beautiful, it's like her soul is rising into the heavens" but on the other I think about history... and how much we know about our people due to burials and the items that were buried with them, that we would never know about today if instead of burial, all of thier souls rose into the heavens. So for the most part I am still highly undecided.

I guess maybe I thought I was a vampire and wasn't going to be able to come back unless my body was intact or something? Then I came around to the whole 'no dramatic funeral' line of thinking (despite the fact that I LOVE a good cemetery... okay that sounds creepy but, whatever, #GothGirlProblems), and I was convinced I wanted to be cremated, no funeral, funds set aside for any remaining friends & family to go out and get hammered on my final dollars. And then, once I started following the Order of the Good Death, I found out about the 'become a tree when you die' thing, and I'm so super into this idea (and one of the groups supporting this FOLLOWS ME ON TWITTER so I have officially arrived in the death world apparently). Although I'm still not opposed to being sent down the Monongahela River on a flaming boat. Probably need a permit from the city for that, but I've likely got some time to work on it.
