Shameless 11X3: Frances Francis Franny Frank

While, not a great episode, this was so much better than we've been getting lately.

So, after a brief reprieve, Debbie is back to earning my ire. What the fuck can you blame every single other person for not taking care of your daughter, except you? Debbie. It's 100% your responsibility to make sure she gets to school and has whatever she needs. You can't just run out of the house yelling, someone take care of her.

Because, the person who takes care of her, is Frank. Which means she doesn't go to school (he doesn't know where her school is) and spends the day buying drugs, rolling joints, and getting tattoos. Meanwhile, Debbie is frantically trying to find her, and is pissed that no one seems to no anything. Again, your responsibility Debbie.

And then, she has the fucking gaul to yell at Liam for leaving him with Frank. Excuse me? Lip finally calls her out on her parenting (Sandy danced around it a little bit earlier, but it could not be more clear here) and Debbie gets upset and cries. Please.

Ian and Mickey spend the whole episode trying to figure out who the man in the relationship is. (Because, that's a good use of our time). Ian seems upset that Mickey wanted to top during sex, which they don't usually do, and then starts and argument. He then proceeds to ask everyone they know who the man in their relationship is. This seems utterly ridiculous.

Later, Mickey decides to join Kevin's gym because Ian told him he was like a prepubescent girl, and you know, he needs to be more manly.

Back at work, Ian is told that he has to work through lunch without getting paid for it. He ends up refusing and quitting. Mickey, meanwhile, has gotten a job working security at the Alibi (since Kevin cannot be trusted carry money around after he was robbed), and starts to berate Ian for not being the man in the relationship. They later seem to reconcile with having loud sex about the Jonas Brothers. 

Carl has a new partner who is definitely ethically questionable. She does seem to care about getting justice at any cost, but that includes, harassment, assault, and theft. Carl seems both fascinated and appalled by her.

Oh, and Tami sister's baby (who isn't born yet) is found to have a hole in it's heart. But the surgery to fix it is going to be 65k. Unless the baby was actually dying, then they would just do the surgery. The US healthcare system is a fucking nightmare. Tami calls Lip to ask if he could sell the bike so they can help. He says he can, but won't have the money in time. And Tami seems very confused when Lip tells her none of the other Gallagher's would have any money to contribute. It seems like Brad is going to sell the bike shop and get on a payment plan to try to figure it out. This suck so much. I don't even care about this storyline, but healthcare is so fucked up here.
