I can kinda understand where you came from, but one should make never make the mistake and think that because in another show. another fictional universe, time travel works under certain laws and conditions and therefore has to be like that everywhere else as well. Truth is, though, there are no laws. Time travel doesn't exist and all we have, is fiction. Fantasy. Imagination. In Lucifer, they picked the unbreakable time loop as their model. That's it. And I get why they did it, I get why they didn't change the bittersweet ending into a Disney ending. It would have ruined the whole show. Lucifer was never a show about getting a happy ending for everyone. They did what was possible for most characters, though, that's why things seemed to drag a bit. The characters needed closure, even if I understand that it might feel like wasted time. And now they have closure. Not perfect but in my humble opinion, the best way they could do. If it helps those who don't like how it ended, try to think ahead within the laws of the Lucifer universe: Chloe is dead and her soul can obviously travel between heaven and hell. Rory can also travel between heaven and hell at will. The three now have indeed eternity for each other. The only character who was neglected a bit, was Trixie. But hey, now that the time loop is complete, Lucifer can pop up on Earth again and fill everyone in, explain what really happened. And in the end, they'll all meet again anyway. Just use your imagination and you have your perfect happy ending ;-)

Again thanks for the Drive version. I have loved every minute of this journey with you. (I only joined for Lucifer reactions but I am not ready to leave because I think I'll go back to the Pilot and start all over again with you and re-enjoy (is that even a word?) Lucifer all over again! I am one of those that loved the season and the ending. I agree that some of the earlier episodes didn't have the same appeal but I liked how even they built up the story arcs to a conclusion for all our favourite characters. I wasn't sure about Carol at first but grew to like his inclusion in the story as he was a perfect foil to explore the final part of Ella's journey and to see her find peace and possibly a good relationship with a good guy- something I think she wanted...a partner, (a theme in this season I think) Maze(always a badass- I don't think that is ever going to change) found what she had desired for so long- a family of sorts who cared about her and a soulmate...a partner. Amenadiel as God- YES! I thought the writers had been giving us clues for this since season 4 and was definitely the right role for him...yay-go Amenagod! I agree 100% that he was wasting his time trying to change the world in the LAPD. I remember thinking that if he became God he could do so much more than he could ever achieve as a 'human' cop on earth. Adam...well, comic relief but hey ho, didn't fully buy in to his story but that's a minor detail for me. I like that Linda found some peace with herself and realised that she had helped so many and had helped her most interesting patient ever achieve his calling, peace and learn how to recognise empathy, friendship and true unconditional love- bravo Linda...to me she was a star! Chloe and Luci's goodbye scene was beautiful, poignant and heartbreaking and I loved it even through a few tears. I also get it as to why Luci made the sacrifice to leave them. I thought about changing the time-line as you suggested but thought if he had done and popped up to earth and actually been in Rory's life then the daughter he had come to know and love would have been wiped from existence. Yes, Rory was born and would have grown up but it wouldn't have been badass, metallic winged, powerful Rory who developed the way she did because of being the daughter of a strong powerful single Mom etc etc as she explained. I wondered if I had been faced with a similar situation when looking at my beautiful strong grown up daughter, could I happily go back in time and wipe her from existence so a new daughter with different experiences, memories, life etc would grow in her place (like a clone?) but it wouldn't be her. I realised that despite the sacrifice if your child is begging you not to change anything and not to change her (as Rory did ask) I would have done as Luci did. ..the parents sacrificed 40 years out of eternity and 40 years in order to save her. At least that's how I saw it. Luci could have changed the time line, given him and Chloe those years on earth but he chose not to. I respect that and I get it! Just a thought, the elephant in the room, immortal with a mortal, do you think if Luci and Chloe had broken the time loop. the family would have had to keep moving when people questioned why Luci didn't age but Chloe did? That could be a disruptive life for the family? I also wondered how Chloe would have felt when she was 60, 70 etc and honestly getting older when Luci was still younger, handsome, virile etc> Just a thought...I like to think of them as they were when they met and as they were in eternity and not Luci seemingly with Chloe who looked like his grandmother but maybe that is just me! I, therefore, was satisfied. I will always love this Show and how the story, for me, answered all my questions, tied up the loose ends and came full circle. Thank you, thank you Mega for some of the most enjoyable reactions to Lucifer that I have shared. Thank you. (Sorry for long post but it is also a kind of a goodbye too)

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this question, but will a new show take over now that Lucifer is finished?
If so, is that through a vote, or is it pre-decided?
