About the "not fighting back" complain you have...
I don't know if anyone has addressed that yet, but the movies are rather crappy when it comes to details and explaining the reasoning behind things. The books are giving, much, much, much, much more information on why things need to happen the way they happen.
Harry not fighting back has a reason: he had to sacrifice himself in order to protect his loved ones. Putting up a fight would not have achieved that. If you remember what was explained in the very first movie, then you know that Harry was protected from Voldemort's death spell because his mother sacrificed herself for him without putting up a fight. The same thing happened when Harry sacrificed himself for his friends without putting up a fight: Voldemort couldn't harm them anymore.
Sadly, the ending diverts a lot from the book, so that is never being shown. They did it for pacing reasons, I assume. I think the ending in the movie is crap. For instance, the final duel between Harry and Voldemort actually happens in front of the whole school in the mess hall and not outside while they’re on their own. In the books, everyone can listen to what Harry says to Voldemort, revealing Snape's true role and Dumbledore’s plan to him before he’s killed by his own rebounding curse. It’s such a strong moment in the book. Seriously, I pity all those who only know the movies and never read the books. They know only half of it.
While the first two movies were very accurate in terms of being true to the books and the 3rd one was still a very good adaptation, it got worse from book 4 through book 6. About half the plot is missing from the movies. I mean, the 5th book (“Order of the Phoenix”), is the longest of them all. And the movie of it is the shortest of them all. What the…?
I’m glad you consider reading the books. You'll be staggered how much was actually missing from the movies that would have been good to know ;-) So, enjoy the books and all your questions will be answered. It's worth it, believe me.

Really loved your hp journey! This was so fun to watch. My absolute favorite franchise of all time, when the first book came out I was 5 and the last movie came out I was 19 so I truly grew up with it.
I'm glad you'll read the books, the movies don't do them justice at all. The 6th movie cut out literally all of voldemorts story which sucks because it made him such a more in depth character than just your regular evil overlord. I would love hp book review videos!
Ron's family are good purebloods because they could give a shit less about being pureblood, Ron's dad loves muggles. They're called "bloodtraitors" because they don't follow the pureblood mania.
Also just wanna say that these movies did Harry and Ginny's relationship dirty, especially Ginny as a character. She's fantastic in the books and their relationship is so natural the way its introduced and doesn't feel forced at all.
Anyways really loved these reactions

No. I can upload the file to Google and post when it is done. Due to the size it will probably not be up until sometime tomorrow.

Do you have a different link maybe? The video isn’t playing well, it pauses for no reason and doesn’t play for a while. (My wifi is good so that’s not the problem)

Very true.
"This is all hypothetical isn't it Tom, all academic"
As Slughorn would say.
It's also a symbol and a 🧲 for the corrupting influence of the thirst for power. The legend suggests it's very creation was so it could be used to kill a more powerful wizard.
It's probably akin to saving The One Ring.
Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I understand that. He wants a simple life without the responsibility of the wand but it is a item of wizard legend and history. It just seems a shame to destroy it.

Such a good reaction. So pleased you enjoyed these films.
You were so on point with most the twists before they were revealed in this one. Then there was some very gratifying moments as you exclaimed at the screen with such passion. They were particular highlights for me.
The only thing I was surprised that you questioned in the moment. Was Harry's decision to break the elder wand.
I'll leave you with a characters wise words from another franchise.
"Our very strength invites challenge."
It would be like travelling through life with a permanent target on your back, always looking over your shoulder. With all he's been through, I'd think he'd want to leave all that behind.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two- Thank you so very much for your reaction to this incredible movie, as well as for all the rest of the incredible movies within the Harry Potter Universe! I love this world of magic and its characters. And I am so excited for you to continue on with watching the two Fantastic Beasts movies as well, then the third once it comes ot be released on DVD, or digitally. I really absolutely love the Fantastic Beasts movies and their characters too, as I hope you will too.
I think my only real major dislike within this franchise, is that it is so rotten that so many great characters like Lupin, Tonks, Fred, Mad Eye Moody, etc... were all killed off off screen. I hate it, because this movie and all the rest could have been made a few minutes longer in order to make room to show these tragic, yet important deaths. These were wonderful characters, who didn't get the proper screen time, even when they were all sad;y killed, and this to me is so wrong.
But with all of this being said... Snape's death to me is by far the most tragic of all the characters throughout these movies whom I love, because in the end, he was a good man. Yes... he did some horrid, unspeakable acts, but it was all really for the greater good, just like you said too. Snape gave so much for Harry and for Dumbledore, because he loved Lilly Potter. And while he struggled to deal with Harry in all their years at Hogwarts together because he disliked James Potter for bullying him and for taking Lilly away from him, he still did care about Harry and wanted to protect him. Harry after is Lilly's son. Plus... Snape also cared about Dumbledore even though Dumbledore helped Harry, all along knowing Harry had to die to destroy Voldemort. So, for Snape to have to kill Dumbledore too... it must have broken him that much more than he already has been upon being forced to pretend to be on Voldemort's side. And knowing all this, then seeing Snape being killed so brutally... it's absolutely tragic. I can't help but cry every time. When he's being killed, and throughout Harry seeing his memories through his tears. And I really love that in the end, it's revealed that Harry and Ginny named their oldest son after both Dumbledore and Severus Snape, giving their son Severus' name as his middle name. Fabulous!
I love, love, love Snape as a character. And Alan Rickman in this role is fantastic, just like he always is in every movie I've seen with him. And Snape is definitely one of my favorite characters throughout these movies.
As far as the rest of the cast... my other favorite characters are Professor McGonagall played by the phenomenal Maggie Smith, Remus Lupin played by David Thewlis, Albus Dumbledore played by both Richard Harris and Michael Gambon, Arthur and Molly Weasley played by Mark Williams and Julie Walters, Sirius Black played by Gary Oldman, Luna Lovegood played by Evanna Lynch, Rubeus Hagrid played by Robbie Coltrane, Alastor 'Mad-Eye' Moody played by Brendan Gleason, the Weasley Twins played by James and Oliver Phelps, Ron Weasley played by Rupert Grint, Harry Potter played by Daniel Radcliffe, Hermione Granger played by Emma Watson, Narcissa Malfoy played by Helen McCrory, Neville Longbottom played by Matthew Lewis, Cedric Diggory played by Robert Pattinson, and of course... Bellatrix Lestrange played by Helena Bonham Carter, and Voldemort himself played by Ralph Fiennes, who is phenomenal as well.
Also... I agree with you about Ginny's character being just okay, while Neville is absolutely fantastic all throughout these films.
And I don't care about Harry and Ginny as a couple because to me... they never built up their relationship well enough for me. And I don't really care much for Ginny's character at all. I find her very boring.
Next, like for most fans of this universe... I think I would have preferred to see Neville kill Bellatrix for what she had done to his parents, whom she actually tortured so badly that they are now confined within an insane asylum and no longer know their son to be their son, which is why Neville lives with his grandmother. So yeah... while I love seeing Bellatrix being killed by Molly Weasley, which I love a lot, I think Bellatrix's death would have been far more impactful had it been Neville who killed her instead. Perhaps, JK Rowling, or this movie's director and its writers purposefully chose not to have him kill her because it might have been seen as him taking his revenge out on her and they didn't want revenge to ruin the good and innocence in Neville. But nonetheless... seeing Neville kill Nagini with the sword in order to save Ron and Hermione is fabulous too!
In regards to the very ending showing us nineteen years later... I really enjoy this ending. especially upon learning that Harry and Ginny give their oldest son Severus' name to honor him for all Snape did for them. To help remind the wizarding world that Snape was a hero and the bravest man Harry ever knew, just like he tells his son. However, I do wish that the movie's director and writers had chosen adults, or older actors to play the much older versions of everyone. Because I don't like the makeup and aging they do for any of them, least of all for Ginny. They all still look like their younger selves, while wearing makeup to try to make themselves look older. It's a little ridiculous.
Overall... these movies are fantastic and full of magic, fun, entertainment, humor, and beauty too. The final fights between good and evil are brilliant, and the music throghout all of these movies are sensational. So, thank you so much for your reactions for all of these fun and entertaining movies, Clint!
And lastly... there are certain characters within these films that I would love to see spinoffs for showing more about their lives. Characters such as Naricissa and Draco Malfoy in a story that takes place after the events within the movies, as well as a story about Naracissa Malfoy herself that shows how she becomes trapped in marriage with Lucius Malfoy, and caught up with Voldemort no thanks to Lucius and her sister... Bellatrix. I really grew to love Naracissa by the end of this movie, because she's the first of Voldemort's followers to really betray Voldemort when she lies to him about Harry being dead. I love her for this. I would also love to get to know more about Snape's past, as well as Lily and James' pasts, and Professor McGonagall's past too.
Maybe one day we will. Who knows? I look forward to seeing more movie reactions from you to come! Thank you so very much, Clint!!! Be well, my friend. :)
Sincerely,
Heidi
