Shameless 10X10: Now Leaving Illinois

Um, you guys, this is now two episodes in a row I didn't hate. What is happening here?
That said, I still hated all the Carl stuff. It took up a lot of time and wasn't that interesting, so again, we'll skip all that.

Fucking Frank. Why the hell does everything always seem to work out for him? After all this trouble Faye has gone through to set him up, he ends up with a sympathetic judge who treats him to community service and rehab. Even though, he should have gotten 30 years. I mean, we knew that wasn't gonna happen, but still.

Debbie is not, not only making out with Claudia's daughter, but having sex with her also. And Julia doesn't seem to understand that Debbie isn't in love with her and creates this whole Homecoming proposal, and is then devastated when Debbie rejects her. However, later on, she realizes the leverage she has over Debbie and threatens to tell her mom about them if Debbie doesn't go. Plus, Claudia has offered Debbie a job to basically do nothing but hang out in the house all day (which includes a pension and healthcare- what the hell does this woman do again?)

Tami's family ends up giving her and Lip a free house. Which is awesome, except that it's in Wisconsin. But it's actually a really nice house and they decide to go. When Lip tells the family, they don't react at all, so we're still waiting for that.

Kevin and V end up getting actioned off (to get their kids into a prestigious kindergarten) to this incredibly wealthy couple who are literally just interested in how the poor live. Honestly, it's gross, but also kind of entertaining.

And then we get the best part, Ian and Mickey. Byron invites Ian (who pretends he has a boyfriend) to a show with him and Mickey (to try to pawn Mickey back onto Ian) so Ian has to find a date. He manages to do so on Grindr, but the guy (Cole?) is so not Ian's type. But he pretends just fine so Mickey doesn't suspect. BUT, when Ian overhears Byron insulting Mickey, he beats the shit out of him. I love this. And Cole is telling Mickey how much he loves that Ian is tough and he's gonna fuck the shit out of him later, so Mickey punches him. This is also glorious.

After the fight, Ian tries to tell Mickey how he feels about him, but Mickey tells him to shut up and tells him he'll marry him. They are engaged! I'm so fucking happy! I love these two so much! They are the only people in this show that I've felt the need to ship.

So, I have no idea if this means Lip is leaving the show (don't tell me), but I would be fine either way. Honestly, all I really care about right now is Ian and Mickey. But I'm not uninterested by the Debbie stuff right now.
