Yes Commando!

Great episode. Love episodes that are set on airplanes. Probably because it's an extremely enclosed space. Leverage had an excellent episode on a plane. I want to say that the quote is from Commando, but that goes a bit like "Don't disturb my friend, he's dead tired". What movie is your quote from?

4C- Thank you once again for another fabulous reaction, Clint! I absolutely love this episode. It's fantastic, that for a majority this episode is set on a plane where Reese is fighting to save this computer genius known as the Sphinx, who designed a black market site, from a number of unknown assassins. I think it's absolutely brilliant. Most of all... I especially love that Reese realizes he needs to keeps saving people. That he needs to keep working. And he cares about Finch too. I think... in spite of Reese's anger towards Finch for creating the Machine, and in spite of his complete distrust in the Machine, he trusts in Finch. Reese just doesn't trust everyone's lives being in the hands of the Machine. I absolutely love Reese's conversation with the Sphinx about how wreckless these computer geniuses are because they don't seem to think about the consequences that might affect everyone around them. And while Finch does care about people, he built the Machine at a time in his life when he chose to ignore these consequences, until it was too late. Nathan's death was his wake up call. However, Finch also made the right decision when he programed the Machine in the fashion that he had, because it does allow for humans... our heroes, to make the tough choices they do when they fight to save or stop the numbers that come up, and to stop the people coming after them. Putting all of the decisions in the Machine's hands would have been a huge mistake. While I love Root as a character and find her devotion and complete loyalty to the Machine fascinating, I also find it really scary and wrong at times too. And it makes me also kind of dislike her more than I would like to. This is the biggest reason why Root for me, isn't my favorite character throughout the show like she is for most viwers who love this show. Root has certain flaws that I have trouble looking past at times. Now... I love that Finch comes to Italy to meet up with Reese and then explains to Reese that he built the Machine to give them the numbers so that they can decide how to deal with them, and then reminds Reese that he deeply misses Carter too. This is a beautiful moment between these brilliant characters. While I most certainly understand Reese's reserve in trusting the Machine with the people they fight to save, I absolutely love that it's the Sphinx's words about Reese being a good guy for helping people without seeking any kind of reward that is what convinces Reese to come back. And while Reese may not trust in the Machine, he does trust Finch, Shaw, and Fusco, and he needs to keep trying to save people, as a way to redeem himself for his past sins. And Reese does see just how much Finch truly cares. Not just about their numbers, and even Carter, but for him as well. Absolutely phenomenal. :) As for Reese fighting against each of these unknown assassins to save Owen... I absolutely love everything about all that takes place on this plane. I love seeing Reese knock the jerk out so casually, and then seeing him fight against the assassins, all the while protecting Owen from himself. I like Owen and his goofiness, even though he's also annoying as all heck. He's just a fun character to watch and I love his interactions with Reese. And yes... I absolutely love Owen's slat and pepper line ot Reese as well. So, so funny. And Owen is right... the salt and pepper look on Reese suits him, and it makes him hot! I love it! :) I also love that while Reese is taking out the final assassin inside the cockpit, Finch works to land the plane from the library in New York in order to keep it from crashing and killing Reese and all of the passengers aboard, using some kind of simulator. Is is cheesy and a bit far fetched? Maybe. But I still enjoy this moment for Finch's character nonetheless. I especially love that Reese holds out his phone so that Finch can hear the passengers' applauses meant for him. I suspect that Finch had this control in reach because either he saw to it to purchase this equipment early on after learning Reese was fighting against these unknown assassins on a plane, in case their situation turned into the worst case scenario, he would be prepared to help save Reese and the people on the plane should he need to help Reese land the plane. He might have sent out Shaw to pick up the equipment, or maybe the Machine told one of them to do so. Maybe Root. I doubt Finch would simply have this equipment lying around the Library for no reason. The episode's writers I guess just chose not to show us this detail they most likely thought wasn't all that important. Next... I really love Holly, the flight attendent who works with Reese throughout this episode too. She's sweet and brave to help this stranger she comes to put complete trust in upon seeing him work so hard to keep this one kid alive from multiple threats. Plus... she sees Reese knock the annoying guy on his phone unconsciouss after he had been so rude to her, as well as help the old lady sitting net to him with her bags a few minutes earlier too. She quickly comes to see that Reese is a good man with a good heart. And I love her for this. I also love that Holly grows to like Reese enough to ask him out for coffee or a drink afterwards too. And I love that Reese accepts her invitation. I think they're cute together, and I would absolutely love to see Holly again for sure. And lastly... I love Shaw's interactions with one of the men responsible for her former partner's death, as well as with Hersh. I just absolutely love her spunk and ferocity. Shaw's just fantastic. :) Overall... a phenomenal episode and I cannot wait for more reactions to come!!! So thank you once again, Clint! Until next time... Sincerely, Heidi
