Sons of Anarchy 4X8: Family Recipe

Oh, holy shit you guys. This is fucking insane. Why is this season allowed to be so good?

We're finally starting the vote and it's off to a bang. Literally. As we're voting, the clubhouse just starts exploding with bullets. When we run out to see what's going on, we see the Lobos cartel drop off a bag and speed away. We do manage to capture one of the members though. Turns out, the bag is full of severed heads. Fun. Members of the Tuscan chapter.

After this, Piney tells Clay that either they are out of the drug business by end of day, or he's going to show the rest of the club the letters. And then he heads back to the cabin.

SAMCRO and the Mayans work together to try to figure out what happened. They claim there is a rat in the Mayans, Pedro. So, they try to feed him some info and see what happens. They are ready for an ambush if they do show up. And they do, but only to drop off headless bodies of some Mayans and the Tuscan chapter. They can't figure how they knew since they had Pedro with them the whole time. So, I assume this has to mean that someone else is the rat, even though no one seemed to bring it up.

While all this is going on, Juice is particularly squirrelly. He hasn't been doing well since he was approached by Eli and even worse since he killed Miles. Chibs is worried about him, and when Juice slips away to try to clean up his suicide chain, Chibs follows him and knows immediately what is going on. I don't know how this is gonna play out going forward, but right now, it seems like Chibs is being supportive. It's not like he knows the whole truth though. In his eyes, Juice is messed up because he had to kill his friend.

Tara has decided to take the kids and head on up to Oregon until things settle down here. She has a job offer and both she and Jax seem to think it's the right thing to do at this point.

And then we've got Clay. Clay heads up to Piney's cabin (lying to Gemma about where he is) to tell him that he needs more time due to all the shit that went down tonight. Piney isn't inclined to give him more. Once Clay leaves, Piney goes to lock the door, and Clay bursts back in hitting up with the door. He runs around the cabin screaming about where the letters are. When Piney refuses to tell him, Clay suggests that Tara has them and Piney is stunned. He didn't realize Clay knew. Either way, he can't find the letters, and as a last parting gift. Shoots and kills Piney. Then writes LS (I assume for the Lobos cartel) in Piney's blood on the picture.

Everything is such a fucking mess. And almost all of it is Clay's fault. I don't even know what I want to happen here. I think Clay getting ousted is better than him being killed right now. Mostly because I want him to suffer and know his club took this away from him.

Somebody keep really close tabs on Tara.
