Sons of Anarchy 4X7: Fruit of the Crows

Fuck me, you guys. This season is incredible. I think it's been my favorite so far. So, I'm currently worried about Tara, but now it seems like I have to fear for Bobby as well? (And maybe anyone who votes with him?)

Okay, so let's talk about Juice. Before last episode, I'd say I liked him fine enough. Although, I felt mostly indifferent about him. Then, last episode, he had a dozen opportunities to take responsibility for what he did, but instead allowed the Prospects to almost kill each other to show loyalty. Then, when he's caught by Miles, he kills him, frames him, and pretends like he did nothing wrong.

This episode, Eli shows up claiming Juice needs to take a drug test for his parole, but really tells him he needs the damn coke. Juice says he'll only bring it if he meets Potter (whose name I had to look up, although, I think it's Lincoln?). They decide to arrest Juice for possession when he shows up to remind him they can get to him, I guess. Then they send him back the clubhouse where he is twitchy and weird. (Obviously).

Clay tells him he's proud of him for dealing with the Russians and Miles and gives him a patch for his kutte. But, then tells him that's all over and he needs to man up and pull it together. Juice nods and leaves. Then, he heads over and tries to kill himself. But I think (it's unclear) the branch he hung himself from broke and he was unsuccessful.

Imagine thinking that killing members of your own club, and yourself, were preferable to telling Clay your dad was Black. Let's assume Clay kicked him out over it. So what? He'd be alive. He wouldn't have murdered his friend. This seems like a lot over a little.

While that's happening, the club goes on lockdown after the note to Tara is found by Gemma. However, Lyla refuses to come because she has to work. And afterwards, she slips her tail and leaves. Effectively, leaving Opie. I don't know how sad he really is about it. I felt very 'whatever' about their relationship. I want Opie to be happy, but Lyla didn't really seem to make him happy, so ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

When some of the SOA go to check out the Mayan's drug operation, they end up getting shot in a drive-by. Alvarez is hit and Jax takes off after the car. They get Alvarez to the clubhouse to Tara can patch him up.

Meanwhile, Jax follows the car and once he figures out where it is, he tells the rest of the club. They burst in and it just a family, but Jax recognizes the driver of the car. It turns out, he was coerced into helping by a rival cartel. Eventually, the other shooter (one yeah, Jax killed one earlier) pops out and ends up dead as well. So now we're not only dealing with one cartel, but two! Fun.

Bobby has had enough of the drug business and calls for a vote to remove Clay from leadership. Clay is pissed. He agrees that they'll hold a vote later that night, but is livid. I'm highly concerned for what happens after the vote. Let's assume Clay stays on as president, what does that mean for Bobby? Or anyone who votes with him? Do we think anyone will? I'm sure some of them want to, a lot of them were against the drug running, but are they afraid of retaliation afterwards? I would be.
