Tell Me Lies 2X4: Just Stable Children

This was an interesting episode in terms of thought experiment, I guess. Last episode, Lucy and Pippa talked about how Stephen might seem different, but he'd never actually change. This episode, I found myself more upset with Lucy than I did with him. Plus, he seemed sort of guilty and remorseful. (Although, that could just be him afraid of getting caught, but still, it's a bit of a different Stephen this episode).

So, Stephen is freaking about about taking the LSAT, as he has no back up plan. Immediately after walking out of the test, he has a panic attacks and Diana takes him to the hospital. The doctor says he's fine other than a bruised (broken? fractured?) rib that was likely the result of a car wreck. Diana, who was just told this info by Lucy and dismissed it, looks concerned.

When they get back from the hospital, Stephen jumps in the shower and Diana looks through his laptop finding pictures of Macy in fairly provocative poses. She deletes the pictures and acts like nothing happened. I don't know if this is to protect him if the truth comes out, or what. But she's obviously freaked out now that's she putting it all together.

Lucy and Leo are getting closer, but she's not ready to have sex with him yet. They are doing other things and sleeping together in the bed. She finally decides she's ready and when he goes to get a condom she freaks out on him. Lucy. Honey. He's protecting both of you. This is a good thing. You should be happy a guy immediately thinks, 'get condom,' and not 'how can I skip condom?' 🙄

Anyway, she's like, you know I'm on the pill so if you weren't sleeping with other girls, you'd know you didn't need a condom. But you're using one so you obviously are. Lucy, this is crazy people logic. He's gets upset and gets out of bed, and then Lucy has the gaul to be mad that he's upset. Girl. You're acting insane. Then, she tries flirting with him and telling him angry sex is good too. But he doesn't want to have angry sex with her. At least not the first time. She ends up leaving. Good riddance. Stay away Leo.

But, the next day, she shows up and apologizes. She explains she doesn't know how to react when people aren't lying to her. He forgives her but warns her he's not into drama and that's what seems to turn her on. (100%). She lies and says she not into drama either. And then they have 'nice' sex.

Bree is sort of freaking out about sleeping with Oliver. Especially after she finds out that his wife is actually a good person. It seems like the two of them work it out, but I'm so highly concerned about her. I know she thinks that this is all adult and what she wants and she loves being adored, but this man knows exactly what he's doing. Plus, he's made it very, very clear that he loves his wife and you are supposed to be a secret.

A secret that she's not able to keep though. She ends up telling Lucy and begging her not to tell Pippa. Lucy tells her that as long as she's happy and safe, Lucy doesn't care. I don't know how true that is, though. Also, it makes it wonder if my prediction about the professors book is wrong. As Lucy is already working on transcribing it and doesn't seem to make any connection to Oliver sleeping with Bree and the book. Damn. I was so sure I was right.

Wrigley is struggling with what he's going to do post college. I think he's just sort of figuring out that he doesn't have a plan. He ends up hitting up Pippa for 'not a bootie call' and she shows up. After he asks her, yet again, if she wrote the letter, and yet again, she says no; he asks her to stay with him for a little while. I really think this is just for nostalgia sake. I think when he was with Pippa he felt like he had his life more figured out. That doesn't actually have anything to do with Pippa, but he associates her with that, I think.

Oh, and Evan really sucks at one night stand rebounds. I picks a girl who has liked him forever. And then offers to make her breakfast in the morning. 🤣
