So, fucking FBI lady decides to arrest Oliver in front of William, the entire city, and the news as he's in the middle of giving a press conference. Fun. Um, we hate her. Just in case that wasn't abundantly clear before.
Oliver refuses to talk until he gets to see William. He assures him that he's not the Green Arrow and any longer, and things will be set right soon. Felicity uses the $500,000 investment money that she and Curtis have for the start up to bail Oliver out of jail. Just add this to the list of issue Felicity and Curtis are having this episode.
Curtis gives John some sort of experimental drug to try to help with his tremors. However, shortly after, while out on a call (or whatever you would call it when they suit up and go after bad guys π€£) he collapses and is unable to continue the fight. Turns out, his withdrawals and the experimental drug didn't sit well with him. Also, we find out that if he continues being the Green Arrow, there is a decent chance that he could end up paralyzed. Like we don't have enough problems right now.
But, because John is injured, Oliver offers to put on the hood just this once (which might expand a little bit later) to help save the city from a bomb that Cayden James is working on. We find out that it's going off at the arena, so we get inside and pull the fire alarm, but the police inside aren't actual cops, but are working for James so they have trapped everyone inside.
While Rene, Dinah and Curtis are busy trying to get people out and fight the crooked cops, Oliver is trying to find the bomb with the help of Felicity. However, when he finally finds it, it's just a decoy, and this was all a plan for Cayden James to get some face time with Oliver. He wants to let him know that he has a son and someone Oliver is responsible for him going missing? (Something like that.) He obviously escapes, but has the whole arena recording and releasing the footage of vigilantes beating up 'cops.'
The next day they have the vote on the referendum, which passes now that the public has seen the videos. Why are all the villains so stupidly smart?
At the end of the episode, Thea finally wakes up from her coma and I am tormenting with stuffing that I cannot have. But, on the plus side, it seems like everyone is having a nice Thanksgiving (even though James and Laurel 2 are in the wind again.)
