Arrow 6X6: Promises Kept

Okay, so we've stuck with the Slade story for this episode, and I'm glad. I enjoyed the last episode with him and Oliver so much.

So, at first, it seems like Slade is trying to get Joe to leave the Jackals. But, after it seems obvious that he's not going anywhere, Slade says he'll join to be close to him. However, he and Oliver have already discussed this, and are still working together.

But then, Oliver gets caught and brought to Slade and Joe. They tie him to a chair and Joe tells his dad that he can finally get his revenge on Oliver. An eye for an eye, after all. Oliver pleads with him that he's not the same person he used to be. And after what seems like a bit of hesitation and contemplation, Slade frees Oliver.

This leads to Slade and Joe fighting each other. Just as Joe is about to best him, Oliver shoots Joe's blade and he and Slade part. Joe is in the wind. Slade decides that he's going to continue trying to find his sons (oh, yeah, Joe told him that he had another kid that his mom didn't want him to know about), but that Oliver needs to go home and be with his son.

Meanwhile, back in Star City, we're busy trying to catch a guy that's stolen a military grade 3D printer which is capable of making weapons and drugs. Then, Dig finds out that this is the guy who's been supplying him with the drugs that are fixing his tremors. During the fight, Dragon blows up his stash and it's a struggle for John not to rush into the flame to get more of the drugs.

Afterwards, he finally apologizes to the team and comes clean. Curtis tells him that he's sure he can fix him. He did, after all, create something that is able to make paralyzed Felicity walk again. Everyone forgives him (minus Felicity and Oliver, as they don't know yet) and all is well.

Once back home with Felicity and William, Oliver tells Felicity that he knows he made the right choice in giving up the hood. William and his family are more important.
