Arrow 6X2: Tribute

Okay, so we're just going with the 'it wasn't me' defense in response to the news claiming that Oliver is the Green Arrow. However, that doesn't get the FBI to stop investigating us. Sigh. Can we just have a little bit of peace, please?

That said, I'm not sure yet where this season is going. It feels like it could be so many things! But I guess that's what happens when we're only on episode two.

So, after the SCPD got blown up, we've managed to get $20 million to repair it. However, shortly after that was announced, Anatoly shows up and kidnaps a bunch of businessmen stating he wants $20 to let them go. Coincidence? Not so much.

Felicity manages to figure out where he's keeping them and Arrow and co bust in and free them. However, he kidnapped four, but only three are here. Turns out, he took one guy and injected him with a toxin that's going to kill him. Again, Felicity and Curtis to the rescue. They figure out what the toxin is and Dinah and John head to the hospital to get an antidote. Oliver shoots the hostage with the antidote, but he's killed anyway.

John finally tells Dinah that while on Lian Yu, he caught some shrapnel in the explosion and he's now got degenerative nerve damage. It's currently causing him tremors (which are why he's been reluctant to pull his gun), but it's going to get worse. Needless to say, Dinah's been uncomfortable being his partner with him hiding whatever his issue was from her.

He decides it time to tell Oliver about it, but as he's about it, Oliver asks him to take his place as the Green Arrow. He doesn't want to do it anymore because he wants to put William first, but he thinks Star City still needs the Green Arrow.

At the end of the episode, we find out that the picture of Green Arrow as Oliver was doctored. I wonder how that happened. But the two smartest people on the team have now decided they are going to start a freelance coding business together, since they both could use some money, as Oliver isn't paying them.

So, all that said, not sure where we're going. This season could be: Laurel 2, Arrow and Co splitting up and going their separate ways, Anatoly being the Big Bad and fucking shit up, Oliver struggling with leave Green Arrow behind, the FBI being out to get Oliver, or a number of different things we have yet to encounter!
